The store is ok, but men pick up females with lies about modeling. Be aware

This is THE WORST CVS I've ever visited. The store never opens on time, they constantly have boxes of inventory in the aisles and empty shelves, and the staff spend more time talking to each other (or on their cell phone) then helping customers. I wish I could give this location 0 stars.

I have an insurance plan that covers many OTC medications and remedies. This is one of the reasons that I choose Medstar Family Choice. When my Doctor prescribes a medication or remedy I usually do not question my Doctor if the medication is covered by my insurance. According to My CVS Pharmacist from my last visit, this is something that I am supposed to do. In the past, my Doctors have seemed highly unmotivated to discuss the insurance aspect of my health care perhaps almost as much as my CVS pharmacists at 128 Kennedy Street. Washington DC 20011. Apparently, if My CVS Pharmacist does not like the prescription that my Doctor has written it is my job to understand the codes that are required to authorize an “override” from the Doctor’s office, convey it or assure it’s conveyance to the insurance company and then arrange a conversation between the insurance company and My CVS Pharmacist’s in order for CVS to fill my prescription. My CVS Pharmacist’s have let me know that I am responsible for locating and interpreting the insurance company’s “formulary.” When having difficulty finding this standing in the prescription line, I have been told to call the insurance company. As my CVS pharmacist explains it this is to ensure that I have the “proper codes” to insure they can fill my prescription unperturbed. Now that I have learned the proper advance procedure for ensuring the proper codes and that medical record terminology is interpreted correctly between the Doctor’s office, the insurance company, and My CVS Pharmacist I have a lingering question. What does my CVS Pharmacist actually do? I know what they have not done. They have not tried to synchronize any process involved in getting my prescription filled. They have tried to steer me toward purchasing products out of pocket, at my expense, to resolve their administrative blockages. They have been unprofessional, petulant and quick to anger when I suggest that they are better equipped to deal with these administrative issues. Granted, the insurance company is not making the issue of getting medicine to a sick person any easier, but they are not making any profit from me buying pills. CVS is the organization taking profit from my attempt to buy medicine, which is why I do not understand that they do not employ helpful Pharmacists or do not train Pharmacists to be helpful. Perhaps no one really cares about a sick patients malady more that the sick person themselves but it is disheartening that financially CVS apparently has enough customers to not have to care about any of them medically.
