Loved everything about Cypress! They had a great drink menu and we decided to get a few tapas. The pork belly boa were my personal favorite, but we also had and loved the bone marrow gnocchi, the short ribs, and the scallops. Then for desert we tried their ice cream sandwich and it was phenomenal! We saw a lot on the menu that we would've loved to tried as well and we will definitely be back soon. The staff was amazing as well! It's safe to say this is going to be one of our favorite restaurants in the area now.
We had a great experience on their first Friday night! The atmosphere is incredible and unlike anything in SBC. It made for a very fun date night and felt like we teleported to a big city for a few hours. It’s very obvious every detail was well thought- the decor, the menu, the dishes, even the bathrooms. The cocktails were delicious and top notch. My favorite cocktail was the Cotillion and my husband loved the Arlington. We loved the tapas style menu and being able to order multiple dishes to try. This is also something new to Shreveport and something we really enjoyed. The plating was beautiful and the dishes were cooked to perfection. The service was impeccable and you could feel that everyone from the hostesses to the bartender to management felt really passionate about us enjoying our experience. We can’t wait to go back!
This is what Shreveport has needed more of for so long! The food was unique and absolutely stunning, both in presentation and flavor. The service was above and beyond, with Hannah as our server…every need was filled quickly and professionally and with a wonderful attitude! The decor was refreshing and fascinating. A perfect spot for date night, a special occasion, a business dinner, or just drinks and snacks at their fantastic bar with Andy bar managing and mixing some very special cocktails! Hands down the best place in town! The exquisite menu and unique decor makes it feel like you’ve stepped into another city. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here and we were given complementary champagne. Everything came out in a timely manner and we couldn’t be more happy with our experience. Brad and Allison are so personable and friendly! We can’t wait to go back soon!
Wow! What a unique experience! Southern tapas are now my new favorite. I wish I had taken a pic of all our dishes. The gnocchi was savory and delicious, the bronzini was excellent, and the southern biscuits with herbed butter and jam were next level.
The new foodie destination in Shreveport. A great deal of chatter here and there about this new place. I tried to make a reservation for 4 on a Tuesday and they were booked solid. I became intrigued, so I decided to visit them soon before closing time and sit at the bar the next evening. Upon entering this new restaurant, first impression is that the ambience and atmosphere. It would be similar to being in a upper end restaurant in Dallas or Los Angeles. Definitely did not feel like I was in Shreveport. I was immediately greeted by the host and I requested to sit in the bar, to which, she replied: "I will follow you" Which I found very charming. Once I was seated, I observed that this restaurant has a great deal of staff and they were all busy. I did not see a single person standing doing nothing. Everyone was busy. Which is a good thing. The bartender was very knowledgeable and she introduced me to a very tasty Japanese Whiskey, which was small batch and rare. It was very smooth. The menu was very nicely presented and the font was big enough that I could read without requiring reading glasses. I ordered the Cauliflower dish, just to taste one dish. I chose wisely. It was delicious. I would say this restaurant is a 5 star restaurant in Shreveport. Very clean, great food, excellent service, and the atmosphere was refreshing. Vegetarian options: There are options on the menu that do not contain fish/chicken/beef. Parking: there is Valet Parking, parking in the front, and parking in the back.
If you are someone who loves food and wants to try every dish on the menu than Cypress is made just for you. Every entree, drink, dessert has its own special touch that has you coming back to try the next thing. I have never once left disappointed from the service to consistent food quality. The staff are always smiling and super friendly. The atmosphere is so inviting and makes you want to stay for hours. If you are on the fence do yourself a favor make your reservation today.
Drinks and food were delicious, but everything took quite a while to hit the table. The restaurant was full, and our party consisted of 9, but it took 30 minutes and 3 reminders for a bottle of wine to finally make it to the table. I don't think the value was worth the time.
This is the restaurant that Shreveport needed! From the decor to the food, just unparalleled. The staff is even better. The manager Jessica is lovely and goes above and beyond. Hands down the best place to dine.
This southern style tapas cuisine is exactly what Shreveport was missing. A welcoming, sophisticated vibe with a knowledgeable, kind staff. The attention to detail is unmatched. Don’t get me started on the cocktail and wine menu! This will be your new favorite spot!
