I use to frequent here all the time for lunch. They recently did some revamping and no longer serve hot lunches as they've converted to more of a market. They still offer daily lunches but, they are in the market section and are offered cold. However, they will warm the dish up if u ask and want to dine in. I love so many food items here there's too much to name. But, just to name a few: the stuffed chicken with capers, the chicken salad, the strawberry salad with the strawberry vinegarette, and I must mention the homemade bread pudding! Yall! That bread pudding is heaven on earth! When my aunt passed I thought I would never taste another bread pudding as good as hers. But child, let me tell u, if u go there and don't get it, u r depriving urself of a happy day! I'll be back soon!
If you’re looking for some southern classic dishes you’ll find them here. The shrimp and grits is amazing and they have a large selection of items including to go platters in their fridge section. They do offer a military discount which is a plus but you must be in uniform. A military discount is never expected but I do dislike that only when in uniform will they honor a discount even with a military ID. I’m in the military when in and out of uniform. Prices are a little higher than other lunch stops and their hours are very limited but overall this place is always a treat.

JB and his staff consistently provide excellent food for our events. Nobody skips a working lunch when they find out that Bistro To Go is on the menu!
Bistro to Go is my go-to place for any and every event. I’ve used them for a large engagement party, to office Christmas party, to a small intimate birthday dinner. Their food is always exceptional and Scott, who runs the catering side, is great to work with. They always provide plenty of food and it is some of the best food in the Shreveport/Bossier area. I cannot recommend them enough!
Locally owned, family-operated business. Great menu with daily soups and specials. The menu includes soups, salads, sandwiches, and hot entrees like Slow Roasted Chicken Pot Pie or Fork Tender Beef Roast. The desserts are absolutely amazing. Best bread pudding you will ever have. Seriously. You should go. You won't be disappointed in anything you try on the menu. Although the hours are incorrect above, they are: 11:30-2 for lunch service, and the market is open until 6pm and from 10-2 on Saturday market only.
Amazing place. This specific spot is the location off of line avenue. My dad and I do electrical work every so often for the owner - JB, and he rewards us with some of the best takeout food I've had. They even deliver with waitr so you can place your order online and have it delivered right to your door. The food is always fresh, the selection are all healthy variables, and the staff is very friendly! Give them a shot!
Love the famous strawberry salad and pimento cheese sandwich. Chicken pot pie is also good. Possibly the best lunch spot in Shreveport.

If there is one dish I miss after leaving Shreveport it has to be JB’s Gumbo, the closest I’ve ever come to my mom’s anywhere. Bistro to Go is a rarity in SBC, a small locally owned restaurant that is run professionally and has remained consistent for many years. The excellent rating speaks volumes. I only rate on Google now that UrbanSpoon/Zomato are dead. It pains me to see those who have no food expertise comment on someone’s living. I’m thankful people see the value and excellence of Bistro To Go.
