When you want a little more than pizza on a date night give this place a try. Besides thin crust, wood-fired pizza, Da Legna’s menu includes a wide range of soups and desserts as well as small plates and salads, perfect for sharing. Fresh, seasonal ingredients. Vegan choices, too. 20+ featured pizzas with the option to build your own. Good beverage menu with many local selections. Nice decor. Quiet on week nights. Reasonable prices. Quick service. Notes for those with small children: There is at least one highchair. And, although there is no children's menu, you should be able to find something on "small plates" such as pasta with marinara that will work for you. Kids will love choosing from the photos on the menu tablet; there should be no surprises. Come early while it is quiet.

The pizza was amazing! It was the unanimous opinion of all 5 people in my party. Almost across the street from the original Pepe's, this place is far better. The crust is thin and very supportive. The sauce has just the right spices (oregano and basil you can taste). You can wait inline across the street or you can come here and have an equal to or better pizza

This place serves delicious pies. The New Haven pizza scene is competitive, however, and it's Pepe's that wins out for me. But not by much! Da Legna certainly will not disappoint. Great non-pizza items too

The food is always good and consistent. Our waiter did a disappearing act after he brought our food. He never returned to ask if everything was ok or if we need anything. I was able to get a different waiter to help me and then our waiter return I have been here Many times and have always had great service. They weren't that busy, maybe he was having an off night. Anyway I'll be back!

Terrific atmosphere and friendly staff. Love the food... It's a good selection and well done. There is a full bar on one side and the restaurant on the other side. Highly recommend
