Dan Wood Jr. is the owner and the 3rd generation of the Wood family to carry on the family tradition since Dan's grandfather started in the industry in 1908. Dan is a licensed Master Plumber, and is a State of Michigan licensed contractor for Plumbing, Heating, Air Conditioning, and Boiler Service and installation. Dan has extensive knowledge of commercial and residential plumbing and heating. Not counting his years growing up in the industry at his family's business, Dan has been working in the industry for over 40 years.

The company answered the phone immediately, and they were able to send someone out quickly the next morning to assist us with an urgent plumbing issue.  Chris Rogers was very professional, explained everything very clearly, and did the work quickly.  He gave us so much useful information and advice for all of us to keep our drains working optimally that we had several staff members listening to every word.   Very enjoyable and helpful!!  This company is extremely professional and responsive, which is very hard to find.  I will call them if I need help again and HIGHLY recommend Dan Wood Company for any plumbing issue!

Dan Wood Company was fast to respond to our issues and very professional to deal with.  They communicated constantly prior to the technician coming to our house.  Our technician, Chris R., was great to deal with.  He was detailed and efficient in his work, explained everything to help us understand, and assisted with things we didn't even know were actually causing problems.  I'm so happy to know the work was done correctly and well, so we don't have to worry about issues in the future.

Well after one service call in spring of this year and one today and 347 dollars later spent. Still no concrete answer as to what's going on with my geothermal furnace they installed in 2012. First let me say I'm very pleased with the professionalism and respect that Mike has who came out today. As well as when he came in spring. No issues with him. Also the few times I've called the ladies I speak with have all been very professional and kind. As well as calling back when they say they will. All of that means a lot and is great. Hard to find genuine customer service these days. My issues is with the extremely high charges and not any real problems fixed nor real labor done. I suppose the 69 dollar service charge is understandable. But 120 dollars an hour for labor seems outrageous to me when the so called labor mainly consisted of doing a few quick checks and diagnostics and then standing and waiting to see what happens. I've had quite a bit of work done from two other companies who installed new water heater, water softener, reverse osmosis drinking water system and so on. The 4 times between these two companies came out they never charged for labor. And both these businesses did service calls and "diagnostic" checks and still didn't charge for labor. Yet Dan Wood is charging 120 dollars an hour on top of the 69 dollar service call. Doesn't make sense to me. Maybe if there was actually parts being replaced and things being take apart some kinds of labor charge would be reasonable. I'm sickened being charge now almost 350 dollars and whatever the issue is it's still not figured out or fixed. Seems to me nothing but taking advantage of the consumer with charging the outrageous 120 labor fee on top of service call when nothing is really done besides standing around and checking just a few things. Probably going to look to take my business elsewhere. Again I'm very happy with their staff and employees they have. But for me that doesn't make up for they outrageous charges when nothing is really fixed and no work is really done.

I had some boiler problems   clanging n banging. Had  3 different company's take a look at it ,all no good. Called  Dan Wood co.,and Alan came to our rescue. Installed new circulation pump on the boiler itself,(no one else ever mentioned) also he put new exchanger in.   Alan is a professional at what he does with boilers. Alan explained to me everything he done and why. Super nice guy ,I would recommend him to anyone     Thank you so much Alan & Dan Wood co.
