I'm still amazed when I talk to people who haven't been to Deep Run! I come here roughly once every two weeks and typically get the Trainwreck burrito and my God it's the best burrito I've ever had. The staff here are so kind--some even know me by name now haha. The catfish here is amazing, as well as the nachos and the rope sausage. There's not a restaurant in Richmond that I would recommend more!

Driving through from DC to Atlanta, we pulled off for some lunch and so glad we did!! Everything we got was seriously amazing. Each item was better than the last. Even the kids ate all of their food!! So of course, we gave them some amazing peanut butter pie. The chicken was moist, and didn't even need the sauce. But the sauce - Oh the sauce - 3 types to choose from. My favorite was the vinegar, husband liked the sweet. The mac and cheese was out of this world. Had a bit of a bite to it, and the kids loved it. The green beans were cooked perfectly, crisp, and lightly seasoned. They had greens without pork in them, and I didn't have to add anything to them, they were perfectly spicy. My husband had the tacos and said they were really good. The staff was so kind and friendly and really went out of their way to make sure we were happy. The decor was really cool too! These 2 Texans give Deep Run Roadhouse 2 Texas sized thumbs up!!!

VCU students get 10% off with ID. Not as good as Mama J's or Croaker's Spot (but they're in a league of their own). Mac n cheese is better than Alamo and on par with Buz and Neds. Pulled chicken bbq sandwich is solid, but not overly impressive, I'll take Buzz and Neds.
