Designed by the Olmsted Brothers, who also designed Central Park, this is a wonderful community green space. Farmers market on Saturdays in the late spring, summer & fall. Tiqua Restaurant has a seasonal cafe here with outdoor seating. Ice skating in the winters & a bandstand for performances.

I’ve recently begun exploring the city of Portland and walks through this park have become part of a regular routine for me. There is a lush and open, green (for now) space, paths meandering through the grounds, a lovely lake which makes for great strolls and one-on-one conversations, and DUCKS! So many ducks. They are quite friendly and will swarm you should you even appear to have something edible. The squirrels are also relatively unafraid. There’s a soccer/football field at the bottom of the park adjacent to basketball courts. Sections of the park are currently under construction, so vehicle traffic can be a tad difficult.

A couple decades ago, I loathed this place. It is now a place I bring my family. I'll even come to Deering Oaks at night for some peace. Love the Farmer's Markets as well. Very clean spot, these days.

I always enjoy strolling Deering Oaks Park. In the summer time, they have a farmers market every weekend. There is a cafe/sandwich shop called Tiqa, right beside it for a coffee before your stroll. Beautiful pond, and pathways.

This is a beautiful park. It's well designed and you can usually find a parking spot. The exception to parking may be on Saturday during the summer. They have a great farmer's market and it's usually pretty busy. It's a great place to walk, feed the ducks, play basketball or tennis. There is also a nice children's playground, baseball field and portable bathroom facilities.
