Spent a beautiful day here with my mother for her birthday as part of a weekend getaway. The beach is gorgeous, although the water was too cold for us. And the walking trails through the woods are very easy. We appreciated all of the picnic tables available for our lunch.

Among the nicer of the dog-friendly beaches in the area: with nice sand and a great stretch to walk along. In late summer it doesn't seem overcrowded, even on the weekends. Gem!

Bring heavy duty bug spray! Other than the mosquitoes, the trails are delightful. Lots of trails are boardwalks and they're all short and easy. There's beach access here and public restrooms. There are fees to enter.

Had a nice walk but there's no trail map so I felt like I was just wandering around.
