Horrible customer service!!!! I was in a situation where there was a lot of miscommunication between them and my Dental Office. Because of this miscommunication, I wound up having to come out of pocket. I called in a couple times to figure out where it all went wrong and 2 different representatives I spoke to were nothing but RUDE. I had just come $500 out of pocket for a mix up that was not my fault and they have the nerve to be rude to me? But, they were quick to tell me that because I went out of network (I had no choice), they will not pay for it. But there was no apology on their end for the mix-up, not even an understanding of my frustration. Just simply rude and quick to get me off the phone. Why be a customer service representative if you have that attitude? Horrible.

I called in customer service regarding Dental benefits for one of my patients and the rep was so rude and nasty. She expects everything to be on the fax and every question i asked her was not on the fax and she kept getting mad and irritated. It really made me angry. Like you are doing your job and you getting mad at me, but i kept it very professional with her but she kept responding to me in a rude way. Is always Delta Dental of Arizona and New Jersey that the reps are so unprofessional and rude. Their managers need to monitor their calls and evaluate when they trains these people because they are so rude. Is not my fault your fax doesn't provide all the information I need. Im guessing that's why they hire customer services reps, to answer all our questions. Sincerely, an annoyed provider office tired of getting mistreated by these unprofessional ghettto ladies.

As a general dentist, be aware that in many cases Delta Dental is not paying enough to the dentist to allow them to be profitable . Almost every year they cut back on there reimbursements. This will lead to some dentists using inferior labs, and over treating patients in order to stay in business.

They took my money (the premium) even after the year ended and i called them,they put me on hold for 60 minutes ( 1 hour) and emailed them to cancel that plan because i have a new plan and i requested to get that premium refunded to me, then there is nooo response,i'll never choose their plan anymore...
