Deweys Coffee is a cozy cafe with a pleasant, easy going atmosphere. We offer free wifi for our customers and have plenty of tables and chairs to get comfortable and relax.

Organic Fair Trade Coffee and other specialty espresso drinks made in house and offered in ceramic mugs if desired.

Our pastry case is stocked daily with fresh Bialys Bagels, and in house made pastries. We offer a variety of muffins, danish, cookies, and biscotti.

The Popcorn Shop offers a variety of gourmet popcorn including Caramel, Double Cheese, Kettle, Butter, and Chocolate Drizzle (seasonal).

We have 16 flavors of premium ice cream with flavors including Butter Pecan Cashew, Black Raspberry Truffle, Buckeye Blitz, Chocolate Blackout, and many more!

Reviews

I only go to coffee shops when I want to get some work done outside of the house so this review is heavily weighted towards people that use coffee shops as a means of studying or getting work done.

There aren't many options in this area so I do stop by every now and then out of convenience. However, the place is definitely getting outdated:

CONS: 
1) Aside from a few seats, most of the seats are so old that your butt just sinks right into it and you can't sit properly. Because of this, I can't sit for more than 30-40 minutes in most of the seating area in here without my lower back feeling stiff. I didn't notice this problem 8 years ago when I first moved to Cleveland as a graduate student.

2) A number of the seating areas do not have easy access to an outlet to charge up the laptop and some of them (the ones by the benches and by your feet) are really dirty and the outlets are barely staying in its place. 

PROS
1) The people working here are friendly and do a great job! 

2) Free and easy parking behind the coffee shop/CVS complex

Bottom Line:
This is NOT a very comfortable coffee shop to try to get work done. Most of the seats are very uncomfortable. Without a doubt, I'd rather go to Starbucks or Nervous Dog Coffee Bar in Beachwood as they are much cleaner and the seating is much more comfortable.

I like Deweys and tolerate their coffee which to me taste like dirt. It is in no way Phoenix but it gets by. The ice cream is good, not a fan of the popcorn but it does seem to be "the place to be" for the area so...eh

Great coffee, great ambience, very friendly people! In a world where Starbucks is taking over the coffee house industry, we often don't notice the privately owned coffee shops. This one is a gem. Please try it out. You will not be disappointed!

Dropped in here while I was in Cleveland, and was very pleasantly surprised to get one of the best americanos I've had in years. Great artisinal craftsmanship by the barista. The shop itself is in need of a decor update, and it's a bit strange how much floor space they devote to popcorn displays, but those are minor details. I came in for organic fair trade coffee, and got one that was absolutely outstanding. Highly recommended.
