Like their selection of men's merchandise, they have some brands unavailable in other department stores. Just visited the shoe department; they clerk was not helpful and I will return when another sales professional is there. My wife also shops in the petite section, before shopping other stores. Overall this is a fine clothing retailer. We enjoy this store and consider ourselves as regular customers.

Super helpful and accommodating when I needed to hold on to a dress longer than the 30 day return period. They want you to have a good experience!

On 2.28.17 I was reminded first hand that I am a African American male living in a society dominated with stereo types. Once I arrived to Dillard’s originally looking for athletic pants I notice 65% off sale on selected men clothing, so I decided to comb the store for great deals. After a couple of minutes I noticed a white security guard on his radio “red and blue sweater”. I was never asked or received a greeting from any staff member, however a white couple was greeted “if you need any assistance please ask”. I proceeded to the dressing room to try on two pair of pants and sweatshirt, items I will return. Upon leaving the dressing room, the white security guard walked inside of the only available dressing room I assume looking for empty hangers. At this time I am 100% sure I am being followed by this white security guard. I purposely walked across the store to the Ralph Lauren section which is across the men department and yes the white security officer followed. At this time I ask to speak with a manager. The manager arrives and I asked the manager why am I being followed by this security officer? She replies “I don’t know”. I then asked to speak with the store manager. On his arrival the store manager statement “how do you know you are being followed?” I ask the store manager to pick me out a red and blue sweater in the athletic department. Store manager replies “we have no red and blue sweater in this department.” This confirms my suspicion, why is your security guard looking for a red and blue sweater that doesn’t exist. I was wearing a red and blue jacket! Less just say I will no longer shop in this store, however this will continue to happen to African American men on a daily bases. Thank you Dillard staff and security staff for the reminder.
