I seldom shop at this store, however, I visited JCPenney the week after Christmas. I bought a pair of St. John's Bay men's swim shorts for $11. Good quality and great fit! I already have another pair, so I was happy to find a great buy. I have found very good items for my home on their website, such as an area rug, accent rugs, etc. 
Sales lady was a bit rude, who told me I needed to "read the fine print" regarding an item that I thought was 50 percent off. The "deal" was buy 1 get one 50 percent off. I didn't need 8 pairs of boxer briefs.

Fair clothing selection. Poor customer service due to no sales persons on the floor. This time of year there should be at least one employee per department. At least that's the way I managed my retail store. Perhaps corporate didn't give them a large enough payroll. Or, the manager is cutting hours to get a bonus at the end of the season.

Sales person # 0191was very nice and respectful. However Ron which is a supervisor made me feel uncomfortable. I was making  an exchange on a gift. His statement was"they aren't going to give her any money back".  Why did he assume I want money back? Because I was dressed in work clothes ? I just wanted a different color.
