First time eating at this location and I was a little disappointed ordered dumplings and they came out cold the dipping sauce was very bitter and had a vinegar One Note flavor.  Dumplings were better without the dipping sauce.  Ordered the beef udon noodles and again sauce was bitter and not much seasoning with very little flavor.  Also the waiter shorted me $10.68 in  change so overall not a very good experience.  Would have given one star but when dumplings came out hot the filling was delicious.

The food is just fantastic. The service was quick too. Order at the counter and self serve drink machines mean no waiting for a server. My only real complaint is the height of the inside tables compared to the benches. This is only on one wall so not all the seating is like this. Not a real issue just something i noticed

Fantastic indoor and outdoor eatery. I love, love, love the fish tacos for lunch & curry-of-the-week for dinner. My wife loves the pad Thai & fried rice dishes. She always has enough left for lunch the next day. I have nothing left of my dish.

Great Saki, Dumplings, and Lo Mein.
It would be nice to have Kirin Itchiban but a Tsingtao is great second.

Good food, great people, a little bland (but then, I really like spice). It's certainly worth a look. You can eat indoors or out on a covered patio that's about as large as the interior seating. One thing I really like about Doc Chey's is that it's not loud. You can have an actual conversation there. That's a rare thing in the American Southeast.
