So many trails to explore! If you head out here, find the Red Trail. It will lead you to a boardwalk that will make you feel as if you're in a different world. Absolutely beautiful! Many of the trails cross the Airline Trail.

This is a great beach! The water is clear and clean. The sand is clean and it's so great that they have a lawn instead of all sand. There is plenty of shade in the lawn areas and being fair, I really love this. The facilities are clean and the life guards are wonderful. I witnessed one of the lifeguards playing with the kids. He would tow them on his float like a long train and the laughter was great! I loved that they allowed the ice cream truck down to park as their are no snack bars and this was a great treat for the kids without spending an arm and a leg. The ice cream truck guy was super nice too! I've been to a few state parks in MA and by far, this is my favorite. It'll be my go to!!

Very beautiful wooded area, very clean. Only major drawbacks are there is limited space so cops will be at the Gates turning people away sometimes, such as the 4th of July. Park was so full it was open to boaters only. Luckily we had the kayaks. Also it's $8 for MA residents and $11 non-residents. Still worth a look if you like the woods. Water was warm and clean as well.

This is a nice place to go hiking. There are many miles of trails most of them I would define as easy , with only portions being slightly moderate. I haven't been to wallum Lake itself for swimming in many years but I have hiked by it in the fall and it still looks like a beautiful Recreation Area.
