Had rotor cuff surgery by Dr. Samuelson in 2005. Got along very well until this year, the last few months. Dr. Samuelson had his staff x-ray my shoulder to see what was going on. After seeing the x-ray he explained there was a little arthritis but the main problem was tendinitis or bursitis of my rotor cuff and advised giving me an injection for the inflammation and to take Advil or Ibuprofen if I can take it and keep moving it. If I felt I needed physical therapy contact his office for a prescription. Dr. Samuelson and his staff are friendly, courteous and he takes time to explain to you. I would recommend Dr. Samuelson and his staff to my family and friends
Dr. Samuelson is very attentive to your arthritis needs and the pain you are experiencing. He doesn’t order any procedures he feels you don’t need, to keep your cost minimal. I trust him to help me manage my osteoarthritis in my knees.
I had rotator cuff surgery & repair and Dr. Samuelson and his Team are top notch to work with! I appreciated the follow up by him and Erin his nurse and Trevor his PA and the support staff in KCB&J and at the MidAmerica Surgery Center.
Dr.Samuelson provided great customer service. After my surgery he followed up with a personal call to give me the summary of the services he provided during surgery and checked on my well being, thank you!
Dr Samuelson actually sat down and listened to my pain struggles in my shoulder without throwing out half processed thoughts. He explained my next step and that as comfortable as possible. Finally, someone that listens. Thank you.
Top-notch surgical experience! Dr Samuelson explained everything thoroughly, and has worked with me to regain full use of my shoulder!
Sadly my experiences with Dr. Samuelson were not positive. After sustaining a work related injury to my knee, I was assigned for further care from Dr. Samuelson. My first few visits were helpful in that Dr. Samuelson appeared to be listening to my explanation of symptoms, reviewing previous scans and notes from my first doctor. He prescribed several injections, physical therapy, and another MRI. In spite of the interventions Dr. Samuelson prescribed, my symptoms worsened and I was still in significant pain, loosing more and more functionality from my injured knee. At this time Dr Samuelson minimized my symptoms, telling me that my injury was healed and that I was now experiencing the affects of arthritis due to my aging process. He also told me that I had to learn to live with my arthritis and that there was nothing to be done including any type of further surgical interventions. Dr Samuelson effectively attempted to remove any hope that my condition could be improved. Thankfully I was exited from workers comp and I was able to choose my next orthopedic surgeon. This doctor using the same scans that Dr. Samuelson had access to determined that I had an evolving injury sustained by the impact fracture of my knee. In his words I had been walking on a broken leg for 18 months. My knew doctor recommended a surgical procedure to clean out the fragments of crushed cartilage, and to rebuild my damaged knee cap by infusing it with cement. During the surgery both crushed unhealed bone and broken cartilage were found. Contrary to what Dr. Samuelson told me, I did have an evolving injury. My knew surgeon repaired my knee and restored me to an active useful life in a matter of weeks. Four months later I have no limitations and I have zero pain and full use of my knee. I often wonder if I were not a workers comp patient if Dr. Samuelson would have given me proper care, if he wouldn’t have lied to me and tried to take away my hope. I’ll never know yet more important to the desire to know Dr Samuelson’s motives, is that I found a doctor who gave me my knee and essentially my life back to me.
Friendly staff, short wait to see the doctor, thorough exam and several treatment options offered. Very impressed! Glad I was referred to this office. Dr. Samuelson is a great doctor!
Doc and his complete staff at the OP office and LS office have always been courteous and helpful throughout my knee injury so far. Operating on 11-1 and I'm at ease with it because I know I’ll be taken care of.
My experience was wonderful Dr Samuelson and team are unexplainable professional ,respectful, and care abundantly I would recommend them to anyone and Thank them with my heart, because I had came depress because I bought my career of being in the nursing field was over because I never experienced what I experienced but with the care of them all I’m grateful and blessed God knew where to give the gifts and whom Again thank you Delores Garner
