I am extremely happy with my experience with Dr. Shah and his staff at Kansas City Spine and Sports Medicine. They are very efficient- got in to see the doctor within 1 day of requesting an appointment and even offered to schedule my surgery that same week! During the office visit, Dr. Shah explained all the possible outcomes of the surgery thoroughly and realistically. I like that he was sure to give me a realistic outlook on what to expect afterwards. I've also had to call recently to ask his nurse a question and was pleasantly surprised to get a live answer when I called the nurse line and a very friendly and helpful response to my concerns! Overall great experience. I would definitely recommend this office!
I have been a patient of Dr. Amundson for approximately one year and six months. During this time I have had many interactions with the doctor and his staff. I am so grateful that I was referred to him. Even though I live in Topeka, it is well worth the drive in order to be seen and cared for by he and his staff. They are very professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. I would highly recommend Dr. Amundson to anyone, he always takes the time to make sure I know my options and his recommendations. I have had nothing but great experiences under his care.
Dr. Admundson and his staff have far exceeded my expectations. Dr. Admundson takes great care to fully explain the injury, operative procedure, aftercare plan and recovery expectations. I am especially grateful that he conveyed the seriousness of my spinal injury which had been treated by a variety of other methods for over ten years with no success. His interest and compassion during my recovery made me feel like I was far more than just another patient, as he was genuinely committed to eliminating the pain and improving my quality of life. Fantastic Surgeon!
I am so incredibly thankful that I was fortunate enough to have found Dr. Amundson, Carrie and the entire staff at Kansas City Spine & Sports Medicine. I have been treated with a level of care and respect here that I have never experienced through any other medical facility. There just aren't enough words to thank them for all they have done and continue to do for me. At 3+ weeks post surgical from a double spinal fusion I can't imagine a way in which I could give them a more glowing recommendation. When you are able to walk out of an appointment feeling as if you have been treated like the most important patient they are seeing, well you just can't ask for more.
I had both back and neck surgery done by DR. Amundson several years ago. Both surgeries went great and I was impressed with how well his bedside manners are. He took extra time to explain everything so we understood exactly what he was doing. I live 2 hours away and last week I had to take my 17 year old daughter to see him for a back injury. There are a lot of doctors closer by, but Dr. Amundson is the only one I trust my family with. Thanks Glen you are awesome!!
Kansas City Spine & Sports Medicine Center provides the best care when it comes to managing your back pain. I see Dr Amundsen and his team for my lower back concerns, they are highly professional, caring and extremely customer/patient oriented. They take the time to listen to you and thoroughly discuss your concerns and needs. Kansas City Spine & Sports Medicine Center you are not just another patient or number, you are a person treated with respect. You won't be disappointed with the care and service...I've been to multiple pain care clinics around KC, and Kansas City Spine & Sports Medicine Center is absolutely the best. I ended up needing spinal fusion surgery and am glad I did, the care I received was 2nd to none and today, I can walk where before walking just a couple of minutes was extremely painful. I'm walking miles a day now thank them.
I initially chose Dr. Shah because I had an injury similar to one a friend had repaired by him. We both had very positive outcomes. He has since helped me with another injury and I couldn't be more satisfied. He and his office staff have been very caring and attentive. A few days after surgery, Dr. Shah actually called personally to check and see how things were going. I was very impressed by this. I would recommend Dr. Shah to anyone needing the services of an adult orthopedist.
Dr. Amundson is a wonderful physician. He is not only very competent, but also extremely caring and empathetic. That is exactly what a patient experiencing spine related pain and having a lot of anxiety needs. There is virtually no waiting time, and the other professional and office staff are also great. Highly recommend Dr. Amundson and his practice!
After talking to the "staff" about my STD paperwork back in October and being told that everything was "no problem" I get to find out today after a month of phone calls they aren't going to do anything because I didnt have surgery. Someone should have said something back in October. I've been off work waiting AND going to physical therapy only to possibly lose my job and everything else because someone had no clue what they were talking about. Only saving grace in the matter is I record all my phone calls. So I will be contacting an attorney and possibly the AMA. Dr. Admunson is a wonderful doctor but his staff leaves little to be desired. After 4 years I'm done as his staff cannot be trusted.
I recently had knee surgery and I can't say enough great things about this facility. Dr. Shah did an amazing job and I was back to 100% in no time. The whole staff was awesome to work with and were able to help and meet my every need! I will definitely go here again if I should ever need any services they offer. Thanks again Kansas City Spine and Sports Medicine
