This hotel was perfect for us. It was convenient to many locations, including downtown. The managers and employees were kind and efficient. We would definitely stay at Drury Inn in the future. They have complimentary breakfast and a complimentary meal with free drinks in the evening. It really was a great value and was very comfortable.

Best hotel ever
I used this hotel as a stop and go, and it was amazing. There is free popcorn and free soda 24/7 with infinite refills and a free buffet and free breakfast comes with your purchase. Highly maintained rooms and a decent pool and hot tub. I would recommend it to anyone.

I've never stated this before on any hotel rating, but i think this is the best hotel I've ever stayed in. Great service and attitudes from staff. Always greeted nicely. Front desk person, Sondra, went out of her way for me ( the laundry soap dispenser didn't work properly and she ran to her car and brought me washer soap of her own that she had in her vehicle and would not let me pay her no matter how hard I tried). Room was clean and nicely decorated. Complimentary snacks and meals. These people need to train other hotels on customer service. Just pretty much wowed.

Update:  Again, I don't leave reviews left and right. I'm back 6 months later at Drury Inn at lakeshore in Birmingham and my opinion of it hasn't changed. Best hotel I've ever stayed in. Decor and amenities are A plus, and staff is exemplary!  I don't know who does the training here, but wow!

This was a very good place I would suggest you visit here. We travel a lot and stay in various places. This is one of the best ones we been to in a while.

There are only two Drury Inn & Suites in the Birmingham, AL area and I've stayed at both of them. The Southwest location is the better of them; the staff is always nice and respectful. I would also say that this location is perfectly placed along with several restaurants, shopping, a gym, walking and running trail and trampoline park for the entire family... all within walking distance. The hotel provides each guest with free breakfast and evening hot snack with a choice of a alcoholic beverage [up to 3 drinks] each day during your stay. There are other hotels within seconds and minutes but I would always come back to Drury Inn and Suites as I feel that the others don't come close to providing such for your money.
