I was in Tuscaloosa, AL for an annual autism conference, so my expectation of this Motel 6 location was relative to other Motel 6's I have stayed in the past. Had a peaceful night of sleep and my stay was good. Prices were very reasonable - $39.99 plus tax. Front office staff was accommodating. A little concerned at first about a couple of individuals there, but all was well afterward. Doesn't serve a continental breakfast (only coffee) at this location, due to a McDonald's and other fast food locations nearby. Interstate 59 is a half mile from this Motel 6 location, Was told that this particular Motel 6 location hasn't had renovations done to it, compared to other Motel 6's in that area. If you are looking for a recently renovated Motel 6 to stay, this location may not be the one for you. If getting a good night's sleep is more important than recent renovations, you may want to consider staying at this Motel 6. You may also want to consider calling well ahead of time before a University of Alabama home football game to check on availability.

Having previously stayed at this Motel 6 in 2009 and 2011, I was simply amazed at the Goodwill and customer service attitude of all of the employees, most especially Martha at the front desk. Hats off to you Martha that is fantastic client service attitude you all have. The rooms were clean the housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful. Back in the day this was a rough Hotel I can tell you from experience but If you have not stayed at this hotel in a while I highly recommend for the cost you can't beat the experience now. And after I made mention that several trash cans in the hallway were full within a few minutes that was corrected. Everything in the rooms was up-to-date and work as expected. This is a good of an experience you could hope to have for 40 bucks a night

I wasn't expecting to pay $51 for 6hrs of sleep but I was not feeling well at the moment. I walked in the room there's no bed cover on it and one of the white sheets has a stain on it. I wasn't one to complain about it I was sleepy and it was 3am. My company took a shower and when she got out she starts complaining about the toilet not working and dog fur on the floor. The desk clerk was kind enough to give me another room where the door didn't lock and latch was broken. I know that this is a low economy hotel but I had cheaper rooms that looked way better then this...

I have used Motel 6 for business and personal travel. I do not expect a Hilton or even a Ramada. What I do expect is a clean and functioning room! Most times in the pass I have had that. This time - room wasn't clean, tripping hazard going into bath with linoleum peeled back, could not control shower temperature, flow of water from sink very low, bed was like sleeping on an old box spring, AC barely functioning. It seemed like you supplied wash cloths in the past - do I need to bring these as well as shampoo, etc? Anyway my wife said she would never stay in a Motel 6 again - I might but will inspect. This time we refused the first room due to a strange odor. Requested and got a second room but had to spray that room and is the room described above. I will say that the night clerk was friendly and helpful. Bill Lane
