This place is great. Very reasonably priced considering its location - not in the French Quarter but close. It seems newly renovated and fresh. Our room is beautifully appointed and with a delightful subtle fragrance. One good/bad thing is that it is adjacent to the st Charles Street Trolley line. Good, because that is a great way to see a lot of New Orleans for only $3.  Bad, because it is old and makes noise. Not so much as to keep me awake at night. I liked hearing it because of the fun memories.

I have been staying here for years for work and I love the hotel. It only got better after the renovations. They have a big breakfast (grits, oatmean, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, etc) as well as basic dinner with 3 free adult beverages. The rooms and we'll decorated and clean. No room service, but tons of places you can walk to nearby.

I just love everything about this hotel. The pricing is really accessible and worth it; the staff is AMAZING, mainly Jamie, the front desk lady. She helped us ALOT!! The rooms are spectacular, the beds are extremely comfortable: we slept over 12 hours in the beds; is close to the Audubon's Aquarium of the Americas, you can go walking. And everyday, from 5:30 PM 'till 7:35 PM, there's a HAPPY HOUR that's NOT INCLUDED, IT'S FREE. I really recommend this hotel, it's one of the best I've ever been!!

My wife and I stayed here after her surgery. We needed a handicap room. When we checked in, they upgraded our room to a suite. This was unexpected and gracious. The night before leaving, we were notified by the airline that winter weather was expected back home and possibility of delays or cancellation. We changed our flight and the hotel was able to extend our stay for the same rate we were already paying. Also, the free breakfast and dinner social with three, yes, three Free adult beverages saved us money for the long stay. I would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay overnight in New Orleans. Newly remodeled. The room was nice. It had a nice sized bathroom and shower. The luggage people were nice. No real complaints except for the TVs were a little small. You get 3 free drinks per night, I assume.
