The day I had previously with another hotel was a disaster. I was hoping for something better than I rented before ( Not here, it was some where else). I felt at peace here. I was on the quite side of the building in the back portion. It was clean, quite, and I just really wanted sleep. I got just that. Not bad at all. If I didn't find a room anywhere here, I would come back in a heartbeat. The experiences I had before this one here, was a nightmare. Trust me.

Five minutes after check in(about 4:00 pm), we arrived to take a short nap before our night out and were alarmed when we were awoken by a consistent, loud banging at the door. We looked out to find 8+ police cruisers and EMT units outside our room. A few minutes after the banging stopped and it sounded like a door had been kicked in, multiple civ vehicles arrived with 5-8 passengers who were immediately hysterically emotional over something. The screaming and loudness persisted for at least 30-40 minutes, by which time we were headed out for the night. We had to find our way out of the parking lot through the maze of emergency responders and civilians parked carelessly. When we arrived back to the premise around 2 am, multiple officers were just leaving the sight. It is unclear whether they were wrapping up the scene we witnessed, or if they had been called to a different scene. Didn't bother bringing this up with hotel staff/management as everyone whose path we crossed was rude and impolite, not to mention the uncleanliness of this facility. We got the idea those practices are the norm around there. Even as we were departing, the cleaning lady knocked on our door a few minutes prior to checkout time exclaiming we must leave as we were packing our bags. It gave us the impression the rooms are not cleaned very thoroughly. She continued to wait at the door with her cleaning cart until we checked to make sure we hadn't left any belongings behind. Rather discomforting, especially noting this all took place prior to 11:00 checkout time. Won't be back. Wish I'd talked to someone about a refund. Cost$95 , wouldn't be such a bad idea to spend the extra $30 -$40 to stay on the other side of the river.

At first, I would have said it was a pleasant experience. However, when our room was cleaned they left sopping wet towels in the bathroom (not a big deal - it happens) & when I went to the front desk to get more the lady pulled her ear buds out & said yeah. I politely said I needed more towels due to our towels being used to clean up the water from the wet towels - the lady actually said, well whwre are the wet towels if you want more. Again, politely I said ma'am , those towels are wet & I wasn't carrying wet towels all the way up here, nor was I told when I called that I would need to bring them up. The lady, fine -what do you need? Towels. I need towels. Yhen the icing on the cake was when I went to change the toilet paper & I unwrapped a moldy roll. (I so wish I could add a pic of it). Since it was like midnight when I changed it, I just put it to the side & used the tissues. Upon checking out I took the moldy roll with me, the daytime lady was apologizing about the roll, but asked me 3 times are you sure this is the roll the hotel provided? I had the paper is was wrapped in, showed her but somehow she thought I was the type of person yo carry around moldy toilet paper. After wasting $140 on a 2 night reservation all I got was we will show the guy who orders our paper products. Not even a have a nice day. I will not be staying at a Travelodge again. Horrible experience.

Do not stay. In three nights we were moved twice. The first room had mice. The second room the shower didn't work and the deadbolt to the adjoining room didn't work and our neighbors tried to come in our room in the middle of the night. We had to prop a chair against the door to prevent that. The office staff was mostly unhelpful and unfriendly. The most friendly two people encountered were the two maintenance workers that tried to fix the shower and door. They were both very considerate and helpful.

When deciding whether to stay at the travel lodge I read all of the reviews, good and bad. I doubted that the bad reviews could be true. I did not think that a hotel could be that bad. And...it was. Our first night my bed had pubic hair on the pillow and bed. My brother in laws bed had blood stains all over the sheets. Not to mention we paid for a smoke free room, and it smelled of heavy smoke. We arrived at 3 am to the hotel, after finding out how bad the rooms were I asked for a different room. The front desk lady said they were sold out and did not have any rooms open (when the hotel parking lot was not even full and I could visibly see rooms that were empty) So we survived through the night with 3 hours of sleep and thought that when they clean they will take care of the problem. And...we were wrong again. The cleaners just tucked in our blankets over the dirty sheets. We complained to corporate and were able to get a room that was actually some what clean and that did not smell like smoke. They also reimbursed us for our first night stay in hell. I can actually say this was the worst hotel experience I have ever had in a room. After we received our new hotel room it was much better. Just complain as fast as you can if you get the same room as us #117
