I’m a person that understands that you get what you pay for. We booked a room for 2 nights over New Years 4 weeks in advance. Everything was booked up except for $400/night rooms on Bourbon St. A little too rich for my blood. Upon arrival we were informed that none of the rooms had heat, although the office was pretty toasty. The reasoning was they were installing new units and all of the rooms have not been completed and all that were have been occupied. We asked for extra towels and blankets. The towels because they were the size of your average hand towel and the blankets because of the heat situation. Our towel request was met immediately while we were told “maintenance” would bring our extra blankets. They never came. We returned to the room late New Year’s Eve / early New Years Day after a long night only to discover there was no hot water! To give you a feel of the situation the temperature high for duration of our trip was 34 degrees. I understand that it was a $60/ night room but I would like to be warm. It was essential “glorified camping”. Nothing to do with the service really but the room door had 1/2 inch crack between it and the frame which conveniently let a nice cool draft in the room. It also let a little sunlight in for ambient lighting. The desk attendant appeared to be fairly young and couldn’t really offer much compensation. Take my advice and skip on this unless it’s a last resort. On the bright side they didn’t have bedbugs....I could go on but hopefully you get it.

It's rare that I write two reviews and add a star, but I simply had to. Motel 6 gets an EXTRA STAR, on account of their STAR - Maria, the Front Desk Supervisor that has been so overwhelmingly terrific! I ended up having to extend my stay, and she has just been so helpful with everything and anything! I cannot praise her enough. I have two puppies and telecommute into the office. She's been helpful on every level, from getting me a quieter room, helping with daily deliveries, providing local information, etc, etc, etc. She's almost my office manager and life coach! Definitely much more than front desk manager, she's "THE concierge extraordinaire". Motel 6 Harvey is very fortunate to have her on staff.

My husband and I tried to stay at your motel6 in Harvey Louisiana and it was a complete nightmare. First I had to go into the room and clean it myself before I would let my husband or even our dogs into the room. The floors were nasty, "stuff" wiped on the walls and door frames, one small towel in the room. The room we were put in was a handicap accessible room, which makes it worse that it was so gross. We decided to just suck it up and stay since we were there only for one night. The toilet wouldnt stop running so we called for a maintenance person who came bursting through the door and plunged the toilet. We then laid down to sleep. About 12:30 A.M. my husband (who is a disabled Vet) woke up to use the restroom and stepped into soaking wet slippers. The toilet had continued to run and overflowed the bowl and flooded the ENTIRE ROOM. There was water from the bathroom to the front door. Everything in the room was soaked with nasty Toilet water, our luggage, our shoes, our pets and their beds were soaked completely through with toilet water. When my husband went to the office he was called a racial slur and told to just move to another room and deal with it. The "better room" down the hall had a nonfunctional toilet, an air conditioner that sounds like a jet plane, and roaches so bad we couldn't even put anything in there. We were not offered an apology. We were not offered our money back. We were not offered any compensation for our damaged property. I can't even get the owner of that motel to call me back to talk about it. We have been left no choice but to hire a lawyer to try to help. We will never stay at a motel6 again.

Horrible. Couldn't check in till 2. Checked in and no towels and no hot water. They told me they were washing towels it would be an hour. Shouldn't be renting rooms and charging 70.00 and the rooms not ready and roaches everywhere. Hair and cigarette burns on blanket. Phone cord cut. Just despicable . I wouldn't even give them 1 star but I had to in order to leave this comment

The hotel is good in a class, like a regular motel 6 but this one is witu good bedding and cleaner rooms. The facility was clean overall. This place is conveniently located near downtown New Orleans( 20 min drive/ taxi ride). The staff is also well mannered and helpful.
