The food was alright, and our server was very nice, but the restaurant is extremely outdated and could use a good cleaning. You must walk outside to visit the bathroom, which is a little dark and scary, so much so that my two year old daughter was too scared to use it. There are some large goldfish in a big dirty tank that look like they're slowly dying and the tablecloths seem to have been on the tables since the restaurant first opened. I wish this place was better because the food was decent and the prices were good. However, given what the rest of the restaurant looks like I can only imagine the condition of the kitchen.

The food came out quickly with generous portions. I highly recommend the Szechuan eggplant, it is hearty and delicious. This is a place you are best to go family style on the dishes to get variety. The price is amazing with filling lunch portions. Ican't wait to go back and try more.

We stopped here after getting off the ferry from Victoria. We were seated and received our food quickly. However, the food did not have much flavor at all. The restroom was outside and dark, cold and dingy. We were offered fortune cookies directly on the tray that checks are given on with no wrapper. The poor koi fish in the tanks in the middle of the small dining room seemed to be depressed by their surroundings. Over all this was a disappointing meal.

I am a Chinese-American who has lived in New York City, Boston, and now Seattle.  I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant-- it executes a basic Cantonese cuisine quite well, not too greasy, fresh ingredients, and generous portions.  Hit the spot after a good day of hiking.

Good portion size but the food was very, very greasy and the corn soup was as thin as clear soup whereas it should be thick.
