Bad experience!!! We have been going to this store now for a couple of months and I can say that the staff and owners were very friendly and helpful but when you have an issue with a purchase, BUYER BEWARE! My husband and daughter recently took our dog to their self-wash facility and afterward purchase a $15 product. The owner gave them the impression that they could return it without any issue as both my husband and daughter recall her stating “if it doesn’t work out then just bring it back”. But when we went back to return the item the owner didn't honor the return and insinuated that my husband and daughter lied about the interaction. She went on explaining to me how she is a business owner and cannot expect to lose money on items. I do understand that businesses cannot lose money but the simple fact that not even a store credit was offered tells me a lot about how they conduct business. Do not expect to be able to return something once you walk out the door even if told they accept returns.

My husband and I have taken our puppy to EarthWise a few times and will absolutely continue going back! Dan and his wife are so knowledgeable, kind, and genuine (I love supporting local family-owned small businesses). Last evening we went in to buy our puppy a new harness and Dan went above and beyond for us. My husband and I talked the entire way home about the incredible customer service. Also--their prices are extremely competitive which is a bonus considering the store carries all natural products!!

After using this facility for the past 3 years, I just had my last visit at Harper’s Point EarthWise. On my 1st visit, I explained that my dog had never had a bath before I got him, a couple of months prior & that he screamed the whole time he is being bathed & dried. Dan laughed & said not to worry, that there were a few customers with this issue & we were welcome to use the self-wash,. Over the years Dan has been extremely kind & helpful,, Always remembers my name, but more importantly, my dog’s name! Lisa has always been a bit stand-offish, but since I don’t use her grooming service, I don’t have much interaction with her. While I agree, my dog screaming through the entire bath is annoying...super-annoying, each time I came in, I would speak with Dan & apologize for the noise. He would reiterate that we were welcome customers. Even though each visit takes well over an hour, due to my dog’s coat. Today, when I came in, I was greeted by the cashier & I took my dog back & began giving him his bath. Dan was not there, but I didn’t think anything of it. After about 45 minutes Lisa approached while I was rinsing my dog. She indicated that the Doctors ‘s Office above us had called & was concerned about the screaming. I apologized. She was standing there, like Well, shut him up! I again apologized & said, I’m not sure what you want me to do...? She just kept saying: well, the Doctor’s Office is concerned. I apologized again, all the while continuing to rinse my dog...& yes, he continued to scream. She went to walk out of the room & said: Well, if you could just hurry up, you’ve been here a long time. That was when I finally stood up for myself. Do you honestly think I’m trying to take my time here!?! I asked Dan from the beginning if we would be welcome here & each visit after & have always been told we were welcome! I’m going as fast as I can. Lisa just kept saying the Doctors were concerned.& that I was there for a long time. Tell you what, this will be my last visit here & you won’t have to worry about it again. She started fumbling over herself & I told her I was done talking to her. Again, I get it. You have business neighbors complaining. If Dan had said to me, We understand your dog has bath issues & while we understand, we have business neighbors that may be disturbed by the noise...could you keep you bath visits to weekends & evenings? I would have been extremely receptive to that! If I hadn’t ask Dan each visit if we were welcome, I wouldn’t be so mad. So instead of me buying a bag of food, $30 on raw bones, a $20 Antler & a couple snacks...I paid for the $15 bath & left. I will not be back. #whatashame

While we love the dog wash and most of the people who work here I will not longer shop at this location. I have put thought and consideration into my last experience in this store and have taken my business elsewhere at this time. While Lisa may be a great groomer she is not a dog trainer and gave me advice to put a basket muzzle on my leash aggressive dog. This was suggested loudly in front of other customers and felt very rude. We have since discussed our leash aggression issue regarding our 10 month old puppy with our Vet and a certified trainer. Both have said that a basket muzzle or medication is not at all necessary and to keep taking our dog out to better socialize her as leash aggressive puppies just need practice, especially rescue animals. The owner of the Earthwise location Westchester has invited us to practice in his store any time we like and has also been fantastic at suggesting toys that our dog loves and does not quickly destroy as she is half lab and is an avid chewer. We have also started group training which Lisa advised against while pushing her own trainer and our puppy is doing great. Sorry Dan we will miss you, but Lisa and the unprofessional responses to your past negative reviews have caused us to choose to shop elsewhere.

Great store with super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. They know their stuff when it comes to healthy dog food.
