Still as good as I reviewed it as last year. Very good for the price, clean rooms, decent wifi, mediocre breakfast. Good rooms service. Didn't touch my computer that I left set up in the room when I went to work.

I liked that a nice and professional person was there to check me in as soon as I arrived.  Didn't have to wait at all, and the good vibe and great smile is appreciated by a road-weary, solo traveler.  It is a safe and secure check in spot, having to pass through 2 doors before you get your wallet out.  I asked for a room on the second floor and got one.  The sunsets at EconLodge Texarkana is a powerful.  Great sunset and sunrise watching here, right from room.  Breakfast was Spartan, but the coffee and toast were good.   Can't expect them to lay out a full blown continental breakfast for $60 a night.  Ice machine worked good and easy access.  I like the building style in that you can see it is tornado proof, with lots of obvious concrete places.  That made it feel exciting to a Seattle person like me.  Old School flusher...all clean and working good.   There is a Walmart literally right across the street you can cross to but BE CAREFUL as the street is busy.  This is really the best price and deal for Texarkana.    The furniture is clean, the floors are hard and clean.  Super Great place for the money.  

I came to Texarkana to strickty explore what is there.  I was surprised.  Looks like folks enjoyed living here right up to when interstate highways killed the trains.  There is an old train American train station that looks so nice, ain't been used in a long time.  The surprise is you can walk around and explore many of the "abandoned" places.  I didn't see no signs saying no trespassing.  One of the best places I have been to time travel is Texarkana downtown.  I went through there on a Sunday morning.  You can imagine a busy place there up to the 50's, I think. 

This is perfect motel and place for a one night stay, then get up and plan to explore the old downtown area for 2-3 hours.  You can see that Texarkana went out of their way to make that area comfortable to walk around, providing nice portable toilets and even hand washing stations.  I liked that a lot, as a solo traveler.  Make sure you wear sturdy clothing if you are gonna intend to explore the old buildings, unlike me, some places I couldn't explore because I chose to wear loose and light clothes.   Thank you

The room was clean.  A.C. worked ok just don't leave your door open for long.  It is a very good value hotel.  Things that would make it better would be a recirculating pump for the hot water and better pillows.

Great place to rest for the night. We'll be stopping there many times in the months and years to come. Reasonable rates and clean rooms.
