This is without a doubt the best Mexican restaurant I’ve been to in YEARS. The food is AMAZING, the restaurant is clean and it smells great, the staff is so sweet. I went to eat there earlier and my waiter’s name was David and he was so thoughtful. He checked on me multiple times throughout my visit and he was so quick in getting my food and drinks out to me. Such hospitality and attention to detail is rare to find in a restaurant now-a-days. Will definitely be coming back here again!!!!!!!!

We have been to El Paso in Gonzales, LA, at least a dozen times or more and have always enjoyed the food, drinks and atmosphere. I do recommend this restaurant.
However, beware. My husband and I usually sit at the bar and normally order fajitas for 2. We always each order a large margarita with our meal and our bill is around $40. We went this past Saturday night and sat at a table instead of the bar. We ordered fajitas for 2 and 2 large margaritas. The waitress didn't ask specifics on our drink order and brought 2 fishbowl margaritas. We kept them thinking we were splurging by spending about $12-$15 per drink. When we got the bill we saw that they were topshelf and were $23 each!! We had no intention of dropping a $100 bill that night. Anyway, I'm just saying make sure your waitress understands what you're ordering and you will have a great, reasonably priced experience.

One of the better Mexican restaurants in the area. The food is served fast and fresh. The service is efficient, but often "cold" (as in the wait staff are not very friendly, just clinical and efficient). Still, I'm there for the food, the Margaritas, and that's worth 4 stars.
