When we went to Mike Anderson's today they had a sign on the door stating that they are patriots and they wouldn't be showing any NFL games due to the NFL not forcing players to stand for the national anthem. I am a veteran and my wife is currently active duty military. Between us, we have two deployments to Iraq and one to Afghanistan. When it came time for our check, we asked for a military discount. The only discount they gave us was on my wife's entree. They did not discount the entire meal, the didn't even discount her appetizer. I've never encountered this at any other restaurant. If you're so patriotic that you won't show NFL games, then you need to immediately fix your horrible military discount policy and show some real appreciation for the military. This is hypocrisy in it's truest form.

I have frequented this establishment MANY, MANY, MANY times... And I am saddened to know how this company feels about people of color... As a result of their STANCE, I have to take one as well... Will never spend another dime here AGAIN!!!! Oh and I'll make sure to spread the "good news" to all that I know. Way to LOSE!!!!

Excellent food! Great, friendly service! I would recommend it to all my friends visiting the Gonzales area! The restaurant has a great atmosphere with lively Cajun music to make you appreciate south Louisiana. The Guitreau is a must have when you go! The waitress was really nice and friendly! A little upscale, but they don't make you feel that way! Would come back again!

Always a great dining experience here. The Mike Anderson's near LSU had gone downhill, from a nice restaurant with great food to a sports bar like atmosphere with TVs everywhere. It's so loud, you can't have a conversation over there. That is not the case at this Gonzales location, however. The atmosphere is fitting for a fine restaurant, it's quieter, the service is always impeccable, and the food is fantastic. This is our go-to place!

The food is good. The wait is terrible! They really need to hire more staff. It's a shame to wait 45-60 minutes when there is ample seating available. Then, top it off with long waits from the kitchen. Very poorly managed. I am to the point that I do not want to give them my business because of the waits.
