I don't think the museum coordinators could have put more thought and care into the facility. The grounds are fabulous and each piece of history and respective property tells such an incredible story, it's just mind blowing. To think people tilled the land in such primitive times of technology cannot be fathomed. A special piece of the experience are the staff , they all dress to era and everyone is so highly educated in their specific niche of history, I couldn't help but hang on their every syllable. I also got to learn abbot about the Pacheco involvement- my family name. I won't give it away, but it has to do with the property adjacent to where a miraculous mill is located and still working!! Pay a visit and learn the beautiful New Mexican history here.

This is a working village and is awesome! You really get to see how people lived I the 1800's. It's a great little walk. I would love to go back for the festival's they have!

Was here for 2017 Renaissance festival. Very nice event. There was a little bit for all ages. I enjoyed the heavy weapons battles the most. Great facility which adds to the ambiance to the event.

Wine festival is awesome. Going to go back tomorrow. The history behind the ranch is amazing. The volunteers are absolutely wonderful dressed in period clothing doing chores. They will put you to work carding wool or spinning yarn while bread bakes in horno ovens. General store, school house, mountain village, blacksmiths, carpenter, hide tannery, sorghum press and two types of mills that actually work.

Wonderful way to experience a Spanish Del Norte colonial hacienda. The docents are exceptionally knowledgeable. You can take a picnic lunch and make a day of it!
