Nice historic site. The visitor center is right at the ruins so you avoid a long hike. A word of warning thou though, if you are coming from the south through Jemez pueblos be aware the tribal police will ticket you just for being from out of state. We got a ticket for going 40 in a 40 mph zone on the edge of town Of course he claimed it was in the 30 mph zone. Of course motorists rely on the honesty and integrity of police as we have no record of our speed. If you come here from the south you face a minimum$75 toll for passing through the reservation.

Really awesome ruins in a wonderful setting. There are several info panels which explain the ruins. There is also a kiva which you can go in. The site isn't too big but it's very beautiful and a good place to explore the history of New Mexico. I also really enjoyed the museum.

Very interesting location and history. Went before the annual farolitos and luminaria setup. Pretty location in the valley with nice backdrops for any pictures you want to take. A trip inside the kiva is allowed, though no photos in there. Interesting contrast to Bandelier, as this seems to be a cooler climate but had a lot of residents back in the day.

A small site and easy to absorb in an hour or two. Gives a sense of New Mexico during Spanish colonialism.
