Embassy employee Emil M is always extremely helpful and answers queries quickly. Very professional! I've contacted him on multiple occasions and he's corresponded to my questions or requests within a day. I'm giving 4 stars because of the lack of phone support. Any time I call, nobody picks up the phone. But the email service is pretty good, so very happy about that.

I have an urgent matter to take care of, this is the third day I'm calling them. Unfortunately, I have difficulties in reaching them during office hours, no one answers the phones, just keeps saying (all our lines are busy, there are one callers ahead of you), everyday I stay on hold more than three hours. I just emailed them hopefully I get response through email.

Azerbaijan recently adopted a new law, according to which any Azeri citizen that obtained citizenship of another country should inform "appropriate agencies" in Azerbaijan. I tried to reach our embassy to get information about what "appropriate agency" is and how in US that "agency" is represnted. I stayed on the phone for almost one hour and nobody ever pciked the phone up....I think customer service in this embassy is horrible and something has to be done about that. Consequences of this bad service can be severe for us, Azeri citizens with a US passport, travelling to their motherland. I am 100% sure that if i go back home with US passport without informing "appropriate agency", I will be treated as a criminal. Nobody will listen that our Embassy did a crappy job of addressing our requests.
