The Embassy of Panama represents the political, cultural and economical interests of Panamanians in the United States.
According to the established in the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, the main functions of this Embassy include:
• Protect in the receiving State the interests of the Panamanian State and of its nationals, within the limits permitted by international law;
• Negotiate with the government of the United States;
• ascertaining by all lawful means conditions and developments in the United States and report thereon to the Government of the Panamanian State;
• To promote friendly relations and developing economic, cultural and scientific relations between the Panamanian government and the United States.
