I have used Emergency Plumbing for my needs ever since purchasing a home in Delaware 5 years ago. They have always been quick to respond, efficient, and reasonably priced. Most recently, they ordered some specialty faucet parts for a freestanding tub and installed them. Their technicians did a great job dealing with the older plumbing. Last year, the gas company shut off our stove and said something was wrong with the line leading up to it after they moved the meter. We called Emergency to check out. They quickly determined there was no issue. They left without charging. They have twice saved me from having to get a new water heater. I would highly recommend Emergency Plumbing to anyone.

Used them twice. Once for new water heater and for a pipe leak. Very good company! Love these guys!

I had an emergency service call on 1/4/18. My main drain into my septic tank was not draining - I knew it was likely outside but couldn't confirm. We had not been home for 2 weeks and came back to a problem, as it was 100% obstructed. I called Emergency Plumbing, after getting the septic tank pumped (assuming that was the issue - it was due but not the cause of the issue). They were scheduled out like most places but put me on the emergency call list (at the emergency rate). I called in the early afternoon and the tech arrived around 4:30. Everyone was polite, I received a proper call ahead - all good so far. Tech arrives. I have the septic cover off. He starts using the auger from the outside going in, finding an obstruction right before the entry to the house, which is what I was able to determine with a flex rod I pushed in there earlier. After grinding away for a bit, it was determined to be an ice blockage. He was making zero progress, which is understandable. He beg applying heat from the inside, then the out. I also started applying heat as well. After about an hour of this there was zero progress. I mentioned back flushing hot water into the pipe to see if that would melt the ice. The tech didn't think it would. He contacted his supervisor who was adamant that this wouldn't work and had his theory as to why it wouldn't. Instead, I was told the ground would need excavated and a new pipe installed. I was given a rough estimate of $2400 to do it right then and and about half that to schedule it out. I said I would call in the morning to schedule, as their staff was out for the evening and he couldn't schedule thorough his tablet. That evening, I purchased enough hose to get from my hot water tap in my garage out to my septic pipe. I attached a glow rod to the hose to make it rigid so that I could push it into the pipe straight. I then turned on the water. I placed an old T-shirt into the pipe end to ensure it would fill the whole pipe. It took all 80 gallons of hot water from my hot water heater, but it melted the ice and fully cleared the pipe (amazing amount of water came out). Hmmm, guess I didn't need to spend $1100 getting this fixed (I received an estimate of $1100, plus $173/hr for any additional digging time). The next day (today) the office staff calls in the morning to schedule the appointment. This is when I informed her of the fix and they were no longer needed. This afternoon, I get ANOTHER call trying to schedule, where I mentioned I was already called this morning and fixed it myself. Everyone was nice and professional, but had I not decided to fix the problem myself (after paying the 1 hour, $274 service call), I would still be waiting to get my pipe cleared, followed by spending $1100+ and having a torn up yard to replace a pipe that didn't need replaced.

You can't get better service than what I experienced. I called on Friday. They had someone (Chris) out Monday morning at 1030am. He was done in less than an hour, but took the time to educate me on what he was doing and how I could prevent future issues. Chris was courteous and professional from his notification call until he left. I recommend calling for simple needs that can wait or true emergencies.

Professional, friendly, and honest from start to finish. The plumber they sent to fix a pinhole leak in a copper pipe in my basement even took time to answer some general maintenance questions I had about my water heater, and had my leak repaired in under an hour, and for at the low end of what the national average for that service is. 2 days later, their office called me to inform me that I had accidentally been double-charged for soldering the new pipe in, and that a refund check was already in the mail. I wouldn't have noticed or questioned anything because the price was reasonable to begin with, so the honesty is extremely appreciated. These folks will take great care of you.
