First time renting a car and LAST time renting with Enterprise. I wish I would have researched more closely, but I just went with the place closest to my home. First, the website said they didn't open until 12, but a few days before pick-up I received a call saying that they closed at 12 so I had to pick up by 11:30. Not a huge deal and I'm glad they called so that I didn't miss picking up the car, but it would make sense to have an accurate website and there was no apology for any inconvenience. When I returned the vehicle, the rep took the keys and asked if I needed a receipt. I expected her to come out and walk around the vehicle with me, but she didn't and since I had had no problems with the vehicle I figured once I handed the keys to her it was her responsibility. I did mention that there was a lot of sand in the car and she just nodded at me and went back to the phone. She seemed very overwhelmed and so I left (again, my first time renting a car and I was naive). About an hour later I see a message on my phone that there was a problem with the car and I needed to call back. When I called back I was told that I must have ran into something and the bumper was falling off. I said that no, I hadn't run into anything and that I had no idea what she was talking about. She told me I HAD to give her my insurance information to which I stated that I did not want my insurance charged. She told me that she could send me pictures or I could come see the car for myself. I asked how I was supposed to know that someone else hadn't driven the car after I gave her the keys. I also mentioned that I was not the only one who had seen the car before I dropped it off and they did not notice any damage. She told me that she had to send it to their investigators and that I would get a letter in the mail. I could not make it back there until the next morning and when I showed up, the car was not where I had parked it. They had taken it to a repair shop. I asked for pictures showing the damage. She didn't have any pictures of the car taken before they moved it. I was told that I could go see the car at the repair shop. So I drove to the repair shop and saw damage that I didn't cause. The mechanic there had better customer service skills than anyone at Enterprise. A week later I get a letter in the mail saying that I have to give insurance or credit card information. There was no discussion. No one called to get my side of the story. Just her word against mine. It's very frustrating; if I had wanted to get away with something I wouldn't have dropped it off during office hours. I would advise renting from someone else and taking very detailed pictures of the car when you pick it up and again when you drop it off. Lesson learned and I will not be recommending this place to anyone.

Forest lake Enterprise is the most unprofessional business I have ever been at. Through the reminder of this review I will be referring to Enterprise as “Turd” and the employees as “Turds”. I have had to use this company 2 times in the last year and both times it has been absolute nightmare. The first time the Turds at Turd assured me that my vehicle would be ready for pickup Friday A.M. when I arrived that morning.......they did not have a vehicle for me. At this moment the 3 Turds working that day began yelling at each other in front of me and my family making a large scene and acting very unprofessional. After 30 min the Turds had to tell me that they had no more vehicles till Saturday A.M. on-top of this they made up a lie about how there was a mess up with my reservations in there system and that they wouldn’t be able to offer me any kind of discount on my now 1 day late vehicle. After this I told myself I wouldn’t use this company again but being the only rental location in forest lake I had no choice. On my second disaster I scheduled my vehicle to be picked up Monday A.M and by no surprise to me the Turd on the phone had zero customer service skills and I could feel her rolling her eyes through the phone! I made it very clear on my reservation that I need a four wheel drive vehicle of any make or model and that I would not rent a car. When I arrived Monday morning........the only vehicle they had for me was a Small car. The excuse was that it was never Specified in the reservation and all the other vehicles were spoken for. Because of this I had to drive a front wheel drive tiny car through what was our second biggest snow storm of the year thanks for that Turds. Can this company not do anything correct? And the Turd employee I was working with who come to find out was the store manager was the rudest person I have ever had to do business with. I can say with all honesty that I will never do business with Turd rent a car again. If I ever need a rental vehicle I will take the bus or buy a peddle bike. This company will never get my business or my family’s business again and I will take pride in telling as many people I know how horrible they are!!!!

I rent here guessing over 50 times a year due to the Convenience of its location near my house. I'm also an Enterprise preferred customer. The biggest issue here is if it's not the usual staff they treat you like a Criminal, regardless of how many times you been here or your status with the company. Maybe start sending newer staff to seminars on how to treat and keep loyal customers. Yes I have a license yes I have a credit card yes I have insurance yes it's an inconvenience when you can't keep a reservation and yes I'm a human not just another number!! Update on this rental experience- I got charged two days for a car I returned the same day not to mention the rate was around 20$ more each day than my reservation for the one day. I went back to get my money refunded and after explain the situation a few times I was told they contacted another department to have my money refunded to me not sure how that will turn out but yet again the customer service was low and the girl was not friendly at all. You would think after your trouble of having to go back to the place to get refunded after they screwed up you would at least get a sorry or some sort of condolences not in the least.

Had a horrible experience in 2010 attempting to rent a vehicle from this location of Enterprise. We had reserved more than 2 weeks in advance a full size car-- meaning 6 passenger seats. When we arrived, the day we were leaving, we discovered they did not have the promised car for us that had more than 5 seats. Even MORE irritating, was that I had called the day before, and they assured me that they had my car there.. and then they RENTED OUT MY CAR TO SOMEONE ELSE. Unless we wanted to leave one member of our family in the parking lot, 5 seats would not work for us. They did not care that they had made this awful mistake, nor did they try to correct it in any way, despite sending two complaint letters to the location. We left and had to go to another rental company in White Bear Lake in order to find a vehicle, and of course, we ended up well behind schedule. On the upside, going to the other place saved us $125. I swore that I would never return to this location, and I haven't, until now. However... I am in a situation today, where I need a vehicle and don't want to drive to the cities to get it; I am going to try again. I will update my review after I see what my experience is like... UPDATE: I couldn't do it, couldn't rent from them. I went in and the way they greeted me (or rather didn't, I just stood there being ignored..) after my last experience, made me turn and leave without getting a car.

I have had nothing but great service from all of the employees, I definitely recommend this location if you need to rent a car.
