Man what a major let down, we were greeted but a gentleman dress very sloppy. Had us take a seat then said he was ready for us signed in and wrote of my name “Steven” they proceed to call me jame 4-6 times. After I corrected him each time, then after his Led Zeppelin presentation. I just got up an left, we were looking to open checking, saving, mortgage, auto, and personal loan. 

Sorry to say if that gentleman represents fairwinds, I don’t want fair wind manager a single penny of mine.

This goes for ALL of fairwinds. I will shorten my review since my story of being ripped off is so long. All started when I went to go get a loan on my home that I already currently have a private loan on and showed them 5 years of steady payments and good employment history. They asked to run my credit for the home loan. I asked them if it was worth it to ruin my credit based on the history of my employment and my home. Fairwinds Credit Union team members at the branch told me it was almost a guarantee that I will get some sort of approval. After my credit was ran I got a call from a loan officer several days later stating that there is no way they would be able to give me a loan even though I currently have one on it. I was in the middle of refinancing my car as well. The car got approved but not the home which was fine. I ended up getting an approval for the home somewhere else. Now I'm going into the future several months. Fairwinds Credit Union added almost $4,500 to the loan on my vehicle because they state that I did not supply them with the proper insurance. Even though I had handed in several times and spoke with several people. Now to try and get a refund on that money I have to wait for it to come off of my loan and there will be a prorated portion refunded to me not the full amount.  All of the Fairwinds branches say that it's out of their hands and it's a third party company. I have enough money in my bank to pay off my vehicle. Keep in mind this is 15 days after they added the $4,500 on to my account for their version of collateral insurance. They pay off is now $4,500 more than the amount even though I technically only used their insurance for 15 days and no longer require any of their services at all. So what am I paying $4,500 for again Fairwinds? I have been with them for 17 YEARS! And all I could get out of ANY of the branches or ANY of the representatives was I'm sorry but all I can do is turn in your paperwork AGAIN! I'm going to speak to a lawyer about my rights on my position with this Bank and pull every dollar out of that bank that I can and suggest everyone else do the same while you can. Fairwinds Credit Union is no longer a family Bank.
