I would highly recommend Family Pet Hospital Mapleton to anyone looking for a great vet. Not only are they affordable (especially when compared to Park Animal Hospital of Provo), but the staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable and the building is always super clean. I changed vets immediately after experiencing their service.

I live in Mapleton and have visited the Family Pet Hospital a few times with my doberman. The service was friendly and very good. I was very happy with the service and would recommend their pet hospital.

They are a great place for your pet, I feel they really care for your pet. Our cat had an infection and the Dr. was great with her and helped pretty quick. I do think they are over priced, they told us one price on the phone for a visit and then when it came time to pay the visit price alone was more then what they told us. They have little stupid fees for everything and I find that rediculous. However they are the best in the area from what I found. The care for the animal is great and warming, the pricing needs to be looked at.

Always have had a great experience here. Not the cheapest around, but it's worth paying a bit extra to get quality service and feel taken care of.

Today (Nov. 29, 2016) was the first time that I was going to go to this place for our new puppy. We have 2 dogs and 1 cat, one of the dogs we just got a few days ago, and so we were doing the usual. We just moved so our other cat and dog hadn't seen the vet yet, but had recently seen their old one. But, when I went home to let the puppy out, I walked into a bloody murder scene in my kitchen. My oldest dog had ripped out his nail on one of his paws. Of course I was supposed to go in around 5pm today, but I called the Vet to let them know the situation and they worked with me to get in both of them at the same time. As I was on the phone, freaking out as any parent would, they were calm and understanding and as I was cleaning my dog's foot the blood wouldn't stop, so they bumped the time for me to 11:45 (at the time I was calling it was 11:20) talk about fantastic. I was soooo happy they could get me in with no notice. I went in with the puppy and my older dog, and were seen right away. The puppy was healthy and put on Heartguard (as they should be) and they gave me some pain killers and antibiotics for my older dog, and explained what I should be expecting over the next little while with his nail being completely gone. They also let me know that my puppy was doing fine and that his behaviors towards food is perfectly normal, and that he may not eat as much as the recommended amount says on most dog food bags. Over all a great trip. I hope that this keeps being positive as the time goes on. They were very attentive and kept asking if I had further questions. I came completely unprepared, no stool sample for the puppy or his last shot dates, things that I would have had without the emergency, and they worked with me wonderfully. Made sure I was reassured and for sure helped me calm down from a Mom about to cry to a Mom who could manage the rest of the day. So, so far so good, and let's hope it stays that way! June 10, 2017 Update: It has been a road, my Beagle has had to go in for this that and the other thing, he plays to hard, hurts himself, Mom worries, off to the vet we go. Thank goodness these guys are here. Recently we had an issue with our 16ish year old cat. His bladder blocked, and wasn't able to go to the bathroom, we rushed him over to Family Pet and they did a medical drop off for me, at the time I didn't know what was going on just knew my baby was hurting. I got a call from Dr. Lee that Velvet needed a catheter ASAP or this could turn to death fast. So we had her take care of things. He was recovering and doing well, but then he decided to gator roll and pulled out his catheter. He once again blocked, she put the catheter back in but things weren't looking up, he wasn't eating, and was showing a major slow down in his progression. Because it was a Friday we came to make a choice to take him to an urgent vet for the weekend or take him home. But after hearing the kind of life our poor baby would have with his bladder blocking the way it was, we decided 16 years was a good life, and with him already having a hard time moving around and slowing down, adding a few more years of constant bladder blocking then surgery on a old cat to help fix the issue that could result in a lot of UTIs, we chose to put down our sweet baby. Dr. Lee was amazing, she gave us our options for where to take him, when we asked what his future looked like, she let us know those options, and she didn't even bring up putting our baby to sleep, but when we asked if that was an option, she fully supported us. She shared in our pain, and gave us all the time we needed. She made sure we were ok with this choice, and she felt just as strongly as we did that this was the best choice, to not keep him in pain. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Lee for what she has helped us through.
