This place is an enigma... some days I have gotten it and it has been the most tender and juicy ribs I've ever had. The sides are cooked to perfection, and I'd call the place one of my favorite BBQ places in the area. Then other days it's worse than the premade ribs you buy from the grocery store. It's a problem with quality control and consistency. For instance, today my order had ribs that were not cut highlighting the fact that my order was assembled from two separate rib racks as 3 of the 4 ribs were connected uncut and sauced, one was un-sauced and separate. But then when I went to cut it myself, I found they did not remove the membrane on the back of the connected ribs. The rib meat itself was gristly, tough, and overcooked. The roast I got on the side was so salty it was inedible, and the mac and cheese could better be called a soup than a mac and cheese watery and runny with the occasional pasta pieces between the Spoonfuls of sauce. However last time I ordered the ribs were cooked to perfection, the jucy meat falling off the bone, the sides while nothing special were enjoyable, and the chicken I had on the side was juicy and perfect. So I rated it 3 stars as some nights it deserves a 5 stars, others 1. Hopefully, they can get their consistency right and this changes going forward but its probably going to be a while before I give them another chance myself.

The food is not what it used to be. Ordered a full rack of ribs and they were oven cooked style, chewy, no smoked flavor, no smoked color and tasted blend. Not the usual famous daves style and way priced. Would not order again.Food: 1/5

Food was good except the corn tasted like rubber and portions are ridiculously small!!!  If it says it'll feed 2 then it's only enough for 1 person if you add some of the microscopic sides.  Plus it still took them over an hour to make this one meal that cost $30.

Brisket taste like meatloaf Wings were cooked about three times as long as they were supposed to be Pulled pork was dry and flavorless with no sauce The chicken was pretty good We also had the corn and the coleslaw and mac and cheese. It's hard to mess up corn so I'm not really giving them any points for that. The coleslaw was pretty good and the mac and cheese was decent. Cornbread is the best as always, but that's no excuse for everything else being terrible

We ordered three, 2 meat dinners and one brisket sandwich. All arrived cold, and the portion sizes were tiny. The meat barely covered the bun in a thin layer. We will not be spending almost $80 for this quality and quantity again.

Sadly this isn't what Famous Dave's was up the street. I just had the worst bbq i have ever had. The burger and fries were good but our brisket and ribs were throwaway bad. Brisket definitely the worst I can ever recall eating .... Anywhere. So much fat. Felt like someone quick cooked a bad piece of  brisket and thought that would go over. Ribs were dry and tough and only had two with any bone. Rest were riblets.  I wanted it to be like old times but johnn Carnios isnt pulling this off yet.

Just so everyone knows this is a side business INSIDE of Johnny Carino's. On their website it says, "Famous Dave’s menu items are being offered as part of Johnny Carino’s restaurant."  I ended up getting the Georgia Chopped pork sandwich with a side salad and they were both pretty tasty.

This was actually the Nampa location, not Meridian. All of the workers seem lost and frustrated.  I am a doordash delivery person and have waited long waits there several times. This last time there was a new person I have not seen before. The female coworker was verbally rude to him several times in front of customers. He was having an emotional breakdown and looked panicked in everything he was doing and a young male coworker called him out about it in front of several customers. He handed me food just in containers and I had to ask for a bag. They don't seem to have a very good system and the male manager pops out for a few minutes and disappears to the back. Your seemingly teenage employees are drowning and need some guidance.

So expensive. On top of the premium price the meat was dried out and tough and the sides looked and tasted very old.

Really great dinner choice. It is a little more pricey but worth the large portion sizes and quality of food. Definitely try the pulled pork. The kids menu has plenty of options for kids as well. My 9 year old was able to pick a meal and finish it completely! The only thing I wish is that they served bread rolls while you wait. They do offer BBQ chips though. Server was very nice and attentive. Great place for birthday dinners and for a special treat.
