I had Fentress custom-make an engagement ring from old materials - my great grandmother's engagement ring - as well as some additional materials. My goal was to keep the importance and value of its history, while adding a more modern feel and making it my own. Fentress was GREAT at working with me to find a design I liked - they sent me sketches, worked with me on settings and pricing, and were very interested in creating a product that was beautiful and unique. I was nervous about the custom process but the result is amazing, and I'd highly recommend Fentress to anyone. The service was unparalleled and the end product is something I'm happy to show off.

They are experts.  Not only can they make custom jewelry, they can match other jewelry.  Love their work.

Fentress Jewelry is the only jeweler I will give my business to. I felt like they were the first jewelry shop I went to that really worked with me and listened to what it was I wanted. At other shops I felt like I was being talked at, by a sales person who wanted nothing more than commission on a quick sale. Fentress does not have sales people, they have jewelers. They worked with me to design a unique piece that was well within my price range, but still looked like something I couldn't afford! You won't find service like this anywhere else in Greensboro!

DO NOT-- I REPEAT DO NOT get jewelry repaired here.  You will be OVERCHARGED-- and the work will be shoddy-- and all they will want to do is BLAME some(one)/(thing) else!  In fact-- be careful when you take your jewelry to other places-- because MANY stores in the area actually send their things out to Fentress jewelry for repair.  I would suggest-- when you take a piece in for repair-- asking "do you do your repair work-- "in house"?  If they will admit that Fentress does their work-- I would suggest you go elsewhere!  You have been warned.....And oh yeah-- got a very bad appraisal, too.  At first visit was told that a stone was "over one carat"-- and they DID measure-- in front of me-- with their calipers and say that.  She said-- the diamond was "very tall"-- and that's "where the size was" then later-- when I paid for a "formal writtten appraisal"-- they said they could only see that the stone was "approx 3/4 carat" (?!?!?!)-- now-- we have to go pay MORE money-- for an appraisal-- WE CAN TRUST!
