Amazingly warm and caring staff that demonstrate attention to order details, the food is great, and they remember regulars. This is my favorite coffee and brunch stop for Saturdays and the staff keeps us coming back. The cakes are also delicious!

A great spot for grabbing coffee, pastries, and having small meetings on the hill. Can get quite noisy at times though, so it might not be the best place to work from if you need a quiet space.

If you need a cup of coffee before 8AM on a weekend, there's not better place in Eastern Market than Firehook. That early, the morning light bounces through the glass and onto the wooden long table and bar seating creating a beautiful atmosphere. There's two rooms of seating including a back area with many small tables for people to enjoy lunch. They serve coffee, pastries, and sandwiches, none of which are amazing, but it gets the job done. The plus of Firehook is that it looks nice and there's free wifi. If it's quality coffee you want, head down Pennsylvania Ave a few blocks to Peregrine.

Good coffee, huge cookies with the right blend of chewy and soft. Chocolate covered Macaroon was delicious. Best of all was the reasonable prices.
