They're more than just bread! Their food is delicious, especially their soups! I gave it 4 stars because sometimes they're a little slow. But I guess you can't rush quality!

Great place for the bread aficionados of DC! With a rotating menu you never get the same thing and the breakfast and lunch options add a nice touch. Overall, a great choice for local and tourist alike!

I'm here every so often to beat the heat when waiting to go to work. Some mornings, there's a women working the front (light brown hair and glasses) who is super welcoming, excited, and provides awesome customer service. She also always gives me free samples. Other times I'm here and the service is less than cordial, more passive. It's mixed depending on the person. But the food is always pretty good and reasonably priced.

Sunday 12.10.17 around 2 pm. I had never been in the store before and was craving something sweet. In the display was the most amazing looking coconut cake. Since it was my birthday, i decided to buy 2 slices of it. Well, lets just say, never judge a book.... (you know the rest). I should have known something was wrong, when the person helping me took a really long time to cut 2 slices of cake... should have been "easy peasy", right!?!!? I paid for my purchase, headed home and decided to have a slice of cake after my dinner. The cake was AWFUL, it was hard as rock, i literally could not cut it with a fork. I used a steak knife to saw through it... I dont know if it was stale, or if they make their cake with mortar but it was inedible. I always thought cake was supposed to be moist.... There is more moisture in the mojave desert than there was in this slice of cake. No wonder it took the guy 5 + minutes to cut 2 slices of cake, he had to saw through it also. The ONLY thing edible was the frosting. As for the other piece, i checked it, and it too needed to be cut with a bandsaw. I scraped off the icing and ate it... threw the cake in the trash. At about $5.00 a slice, this wasnt cheap. Worst experience i have ever had with a bakery. Note to the owners, if youre going to sell product, make sure its edible and if the density and dryness / staleness of this product was on purpose, you may want to rethink your vocation. I welcome the owners to contact me directly.

Great food at reasonable prices. Just not a lot of indoor seating.
