I thought this place was amazing. While expensive, this place had really excellent food - especially the carnitas and their pork egg rolls. Tacos were better than many of the taco restaurants downtown. Beer selection was good and great. Still expensive, but being able to have a really finite control of the beer I get is great! Can have 6 or 7 tasters in 1 sitting!
This place is 5 stars & it deserves every one. My husband and I come here every time we have some extra cash to spend. Here's what we love - a constant rotation of craft beers & ciders, amazing food, bingo nights & other activities, a good vibe for a good afternoon or evening, and friendly & knowledgeable staff. Can't wait to move closer so we can come here more often :
Great variety of fresh beers of all kinds and you can drink any of them measured by volume! You first register your credit card at the cashier and your are given your own RFID card, with which you can drink any beer with any amount you like. And food was surprisingly good. I usually don’t expect high quality food at tap house but their foie grad burger as well as Adobo was quite authentic which was a pleasant surprise. Staffs are all friendly and kind.
This is the first beer card establishment I have ever been to and it was incredible. The scan-card model is so much fun and allows for one to try the whole selection! Also, the Adobo food was so tasty. I highly recommend to everyone to stop here as they look through the art district of Rino!
Great variety of beers to choose from, including a couple ciders & wines. We loved the atmosphere. The self pour portion is definitely worth going to check out. The concept is really cool! Pay per oz. Staff was really great! My one downfall was not a lot of vegetarian options & menu items cannot be altered. That was a bummer.
WARNING Stay away from this taproom. If you would prefer not to listen to a rant at least consider going to Stanley’s marketplace where it is the exact same concept as this tap room at half the price. My girlfriend and I came in to get a few beers and mostly do some taste testing did not order any food. 3 half-full glasses and a few taste sips later our bill came out to $77.36. They charged us a 20% gratuity fee FOR WHAT?! To pour my own beer? To ask the guy working there to put on a football game on a Sunday with an empty tap room?! Insane and will never be back here. Stanley’s marketplace is a few extra minutes away with better beers, more options, for half the price. Stanley’s also has the FRID if that’s the reason you want to come to this taproom.
Amazing selections of beers, ciders, and even wines. The pour your own beer is a pretty cool concept. I didn’t eat here but they have good prices and the food looked delish. The staff is incredible friendly and efficient.
Good food, wish there was a little more of a selection on their menu though. Otherwise their self pour taps were awesome, good selection on those.
I am not a drinker my husband is. This is a good concept. You get a card, like a hotel room key. You get a glass which can be changed out when needed. You are charged on how much you pour. If you want to try many different beers and wines you can literally pour a tiny amount of each one. Grwat way to sample things. EDIT: My husband only drank about 18 ounces. Apparently he had to make the purchase of 32 ounces. If this is wrong I'd love to know.
Though I enjoyed the concept, I have a few pros and cons to explain my rating. Cons: 1. I ordered chips and salsa and the salsa wasn’t salsa - it was just seasoned tomato juice. 2. The service fee and asking for a tip felt like I was being robbed. They automatically put a 20% fee on your bill, then if you don’t notice it because your bill isn’t itemized, then you tip another 20%. In total, a whole 40% of the original bill is added as a tip. We had no one serve us, no one come check on us, no one clean our large table of glasses and plates as they were building up, we had to put in our own food order and then go pick it up, and the drinks weren’t even made from scratch - the margarita was from a bottle. All of this I’m actually ok with, but, a 40% tip is robbery for this type of establishment. I’m an advocate for tipping wait staff, but there was no wait staff and a tip is not mandatory, it’s my right to offer one or not. But stealing 20% from me without my consent is unacceptable. 3. Lastly, it is a costly place to go, and 4. they mistakenly rang my friend up an extra drink but because their system isn’t itemized, and she didn’t do the math quickly enough, she didn’t catch it when she was rung up. Pros: 1. the beer card concept is cool. It was neat to try a little taste here and there without committing to a full drink. 2. It’s a laid back establishment and a place to go if you want to talk and hang out as it’s not too loud.
