One of my favorite beaches to go to. Often not as crowded if you venture north or south the coast a few hundred yards. Breaks are a little tricky if you like to boogie board or surf, but still a good time if you jist love to be in the after.  Plus, they have a basketball court up above the Cove. Check! Add to cart.

The parking lot is tiny, however the few times we've come, we've always been able to find parking. The park is nice, there are restrooms and showers next to it. The beach is beautiful.

This is always one of the first places I walk to while visiting my relatives up the street.  When the tide is out you have a lot of beach to stroll or run on.  No dogs are allowed on this section of the beach.  But their is a dog friendly section further north.

This is a very popular park virtually right on the beach.Lots of families come here with their children to enjoy the amenities and the beautiful view of the ocean.There are also lots of cafes and restaurants very handy such as the Naked Cafe and Lofty Coffee which we both think are great.Pizza Port on the 101 is a top spot for a good pizza and a craft beer.We love the park!

It is a hidden gem in San Diego. There are two parts toe the park. Right next to parking lot there is a play area for kids. It is small and cute, typically not that crowded. From there you can walk down to the beach. The beach is secluded with two rocky areas on each side. There is a ramp to go down so, it is good to take strollers or beach carts. It is a intimate setting because of the small size. Mostly you will see families here. When you need a bit , Naked café is across the road . Parking lot is decent sized, with 2 disabled slots and probably around 15 regular slots. There is few other options to park, like along the street, a shopping complex lot close by. So parking should not be an issue. If you are planning to go here, plan to spend few hours, so kids can play in the park, beach and then grab a bit in between.
