Story

The beautiful Michael A. Guido Theater, inside the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center, hosts a seasonal schedule of popular professional performances and serves as home to many local arts organizations. The 1,201-seat theater features the latest lighting and sound systems, and is fully supported by modern scene and costume shops. Order tickets online for an upcoming event at the theater!

The mission of the Dearborn Recreation & Parks Department is to help fulfill the social, educational and recreational needs of children, adults and families by providing quality programs and activities in clean and well-maintained facilities and to achieve this through exemplary customer service.

Very clean, most of the staff are nice. Bathrooms are clean, showers are equipped with gel soap and are curtained, plus there is a good supply of hot water. However, the shower area needs more attention because some customers leave the water on and the unadjustable shower heads are aimed at the foyer. Pool has several life guards on duty, all taking their responsibilities seriously. There is a gadget attached to the wall where you can spin your swimsuit nearly dry. Track is cushy and well marked, equipment usually but not always functional.

Extraordinary place to listen and watch a performance. The acoustics are ridiculously loud and vibrant, you can feel in your soul. I came here to watch a performance by Henry Ford college and multiple "bands" for the president's ball; my wife was part of the choir.  I don't,well I thought I didn't, like coming to a place like this especially for a live performance but damn I loved it. Staff was SUPER FRIENDLY, they knew what they were doing. FYI bathrooms are towards the Civic center on the right hand side of the cashiers desk.

I wish I wasn't so upset about the rules of the pool, but since I am, here goes.  They are following a RIDICULOUS recommendation that you cannot swim with a mask and snorkel.  During a prior membership I used them with no problem, now they consider it an obstruction of your airway.  I was told that I could CUT the nose piece out of my mask and it would be OK!  Does that make any sense to anyone?  So it's OK to possibly aspirate water through your nose.  Sorry but I'm not ruining my equipment to follow your nonsensical rules.  I only joined to use the pool and if I had known about this I would have saved my money.  With that kind of logic, why not ban people from using the pool all together?  Also, picked up a nasty ear infection after a swim last week.  Won't be using facility again.  

And just as a matter of curiosity, why are floor length flowing garments (jilbabs) allowed in the pool?  I think if there were a problem, fishing for an airway under yards of material would be a lot more difficult than simply removing a mask, DEAR.

Its a nice place to have a party - little expensive but nice. They do offer a large cart to roll in your items for the party and they do offer ice! Only issue I have is that I left multiple messages and emails to the Sale Rep who was helping me never got back with me about ballons & a projector for a picture slideshow I wanted for my sons birthday party. She said they could offer balloons but after multiple attempts, I just gave up. The people that were there the day of the party were nice and helpful!

We went to an oldies concert here. Had a great time,  every time we go it's a good show, a funtime out. I haven't been there during the day but I  did see they offer some different things there, they have a gym, they offer different  classes,  it looks like some interesting and fun things. Go see a Scotty Productions concert, they are WONDERFUL!
