What a great addition to our trip. We have visited a few of these types of forts and have had a great time at all of them. We spent quite a bit of time exploring the fort and all of its sites, as well as the Discovery Center which was very educational and interesting. A big surprise for us though were the great beaches! Easy access and not crowded at all, even in June. It was so nice that we did not spend much time on the beach in front of our condo for the rest of our vacation. Instead, we would pack up and come to the Fort Pickens beaches to spend the whole day. We will definitely be back to explore the sites, visit the beautiful beaches, and fish from the pier.

It's a great and interesting place to visit. There is a gift shop on site, which is full of items and keepsakes you might like. Walking around the inside the fort is safe and clean. The shoreline is beautiful and relaxing. The surrounding area has numerous bunkers and batteries to explore which are scattered around the park grounds. There are hiking trails, and an area to camp out if you like. There is a fee to get into the park though which is understandable.

A great place to come visit! They have a $15 per vehicle, 1 week pass. And there is a 1 year pass for only $30, it's such a great deal if you ever plan on coming back, and there is so much to see you could never see it all in one visit. There is the old late 1800's brick-and-mortar fort, and then there are multiple ww2 era gun batteries all around the area that offer two different ages to travel back through time to see how it was back then! Great swimming and BEAUTIFUL beaches!!!!!!! The best in all of Pensacola!

Such a great place to explore. Rich with history and beautiful scenery. At the right times you can see the blue angels flying. Highly recommend. 30 for 1 year pass. The beaches along the way are top notch. Brought my pups.....

great tourist spot. if the weather permits, it's a great place to walk around and explore. lots of historical architecture.
