The worst service possible, went there with a sick four year old which had a UTI ask them to do a urine analysis they pretty much stalled all day we spent four and a half hours in the emergency room they decided to change shift while I was in the restroom with my child forgot that we were even there when I asked for their assistance and when they would see my daughter they said we're sorry we can't answer that I said how about the urine analysis they said we're sorry we can't answer that so I told them I'll go to Rumford hospital at least they can answer a question went to Rumford hospital was in and out of there 35 minutes flat and had prescription in hand don't go to Farmington hospital if you want real help because they will not help you absolutely the worst place I've ever go on with my child!!

I have asthma/COPD and went there once because I was having a hard time breathing. I was coughing so bad I was nearly throwing up. They stuck me in a corner of the waiting room (I was sitting in a wheelchair) for 3 HOURS and when I finally caught a nurse and told her, the "treatment" I got was a barf bag. I've been given "the bum's rush" more than once. Now if I call an ambulance I tell them to take me to Rumford. I've done that so many times that they don't even ask which hospital anymore. They just say, "you're the one that goes to Rumford." Damn Right!!! Saturday my husband (who is a diabetic) went there for a split in his heel that was bleeding (he had been to his Dr. (affiliated with Rumford Hospital) on Tuesday. She had wrapped it and I changed the dressing for him on Wednesday. Saturday it started bleeding again and he went to FMH because his insurance won't pay for him to go to Rumford. All they did was give him some IV antibiotics and rewrapped it and sent him home. He went to see his Dr. this morning and she wanted to admit him and have him see a surgeon. Again, he had to go to FMH because of his insurance. He is now in the ER and they may not even admit him. (Even though his Dr. called ahead and said she thought he should be.) He said that they were waiting for the wound clinic to decide.. God help him if he does get admitted there.

Unprofessional. This must be where the doctors who attend medical schools that haven't updated their curriculum since the early 60's end up. I've ended up here on several occasions between ongoing health issues and a head-on-collision I was involved in. Lucky if you see a doctor in the first three hours for a non-life-threatening injury. they left glass embedded in my scalp despite numerous pleas for it to be removed following my car accident and have repeated misdiagnosed or underdiagnosed myself, friends and family members using inappropriate testing methods. I've got my entire family knowing now that if it's a toss up between me dying en route to another hospital or being admitted here, I chose death. seriously. ANY HOSPITAL BUT FMH!
