Stayed there for two nights in Late June. campsite was okay; many dogs barking were RELENTLESS! this went from early a.m. until late p.m. These were mostly seasonal people who had several dogs each and firmly believed in "love me, love my dog." The owners were nice people and had fun rides going for their guests, but must have been DEAF to not have heard that. AWFUL stay; not what we have experienced from other KOA's (where we always camp.) We will not be back to this KOA.

We stopped in our 40 ft motorhome for 2 nights. This is the closest Campground that was open in October and close to Kennebunkport. We were in an open field so our satelite reception was great. Level lot and friendly people. There were many camper that looked permanent and many came and went for our 2 night stay, so seemed to be a busy Campground even late in the season. But there were no grocery stores for at least 10 miles and the campground was very isolated from everything. The roads are dirt but not much dust while we were there. It served our purpose for 2 nights and it was off season so no activities were offered. Looked like a better place for summer although the trees were nice while we were there....did not use bathrooms or laundry since our unit had both.

All of the reviews I have read have been for short term, vacation stays. I can fully see that in the short term this place can leave a good impression. However my review is for a long term or seasonal rental. Initially we planned on being here for a couple months, made our reservation April-August in February. Shortly after getting here we needed to extend our reservation. House would not be available til October. We are on a monthly site. Every month since our arrival we have been asked why we haven't checked out. Twice our site has been promised to another camper. Once when asked why we didn't check out, my husband reminded staff member that our reservation is through Oct and she stated "your reservation runs out when the money runs out." I am not exaggerating. Apparently their reservations software is as poor as their book keeping software. We actually paid for 4 pump outs twice because I could not find our receipts (probably didn't get one the machine is infamous for not working) and they had no record we had paid only that we asked for and received them. In an effort to keep peace we paid it. We were verbally assaulted and our 10 month old puppy threatened by a psychotic camper that moved in next to us a few months into our stay. Initially when talking to owner about this we agreed they guy was abusive nut job and even said "he never hear our dogs barking" and he "drove past our site everyday". Somehow they magically became a problem even telling me they barked all day once when my daughter had stayed behind to make sure dogs weren't any issue. She quieted them after they barked a few times at people approaching our site. The place is literally full of campers with dogs doing the same thing. Once even, the fact that this psycho complained about my dogs barking was basically offered up as an excuse for why our reservation was messed up and our site reserved for another. I can only assume this because, in place of the apology for the screw up, lack of any eye contact, professionalism, or customer service this was the only thing said. The owners are not responsive at all. When this incident happened I was told I would get a phone call to let me know what was going on with our site, never received one. Each time this monthly reservation thing happened I emailed the campground to again verify my reservation and have never heard back once from owner. We also had a leak in our black water tank and asked for an additional pump out to try and find source and fix it. We were denied, "staff were too busy" so we did what we could to fix it and thought we did. As the following weekend approached and leak resumed as the tank filled we again asked for a pump out to diagnose problem better. When the staff member asked another over the walkie talkie if this could be accommodated, and why we needed it, the response loud and clear was "that's the story they gave last weekend". I agree a short term stay here would be fun, lots to do, nice pool, playground, clean bathroom and hot showers and more. All the amenities you're looking for while camping. Except the wifi is an ongoing issue. Also the laundry facilities are poor at best, small smelly washers and dryers that need 2 hours to dry a load of clothes. We have been through a very tough time personally and staying in an RV for the summer was not planned but we decided to make the best of a challenging situation. I should also clarify the reason we have not left and found another campground. We are staying in a borrowed RV and do not have a vehicle that can move it. We do not want to tread on the generosity of the family we borrowed it from and ask them to come from out of state and move it. While some of the staff here are very helpful and lovely people some are just down right rude and that includes that owners. We would not recommend this campground nor come back to it ever.

Great campground. Love the large open field. The sites are tucked in the woods surrounding the field.

Definitely a family friendly place. It can be rather loud, especially with dogs barking; seems like many of the seasonals have yippy dogs. Staff is very friendly, and facilities are as you'd expect from a KOA.
