Very nice and accomidating owners/management. The prices were on par and reasonable. The river is gorgeous and the campsites are well equipped, yet very rustic. I was very comfortable throughout my stay. Campsites may be be a little too close together. Much better than campfire lodgings on the mountian. Great campground.

It's the tale of 2 campgrounds here. If you get a riverfront spot, then the views are gorgeous. Wildlife (Ducks, Heron, and Geese) (we stayed in June) frequent the water and shores. An occasional train passes by on the other side of the river, which was a bonus for us (my kids love trains), but it loud and would pass by as late as 11PM and as early as around 6:30AM during our stay. The campground does have bathrooms/shower, if needed. No playground, but you can rent tubes to float down the river and go fishing. There are a several small houses and more permanent trailers there, but they people all seemed friendly or kept to themselves (read: we did not find this to be a problem). I'd recommend it for the views.

Scenic privately owned campground right on the French Broad River. Interesting history too. Most sites are pretty open to one another, with a couple exceptions.

This campground is right next to the river. It's a lovely place to set up. It's very calming. They have ELECTRICITY at the campsites. The only problem was that the porta potty's were disgusting. I don't know the last time they were cleaned, or how long they have been sitting out there.
