Story

Located in Marion, North Carolina, Mountain Stream RV Park sits at about 1800 ft. elevation in Pisgah National Forest, nestled in a narrow valley surrounded by mountains on all sides. Beautiful Buck Creek flows through this valley and along two sides of the campground.

We are surrounded by gorgeous mountain scenery, just a short drive away from Blue Ridge Parkway and other amazing attractions. Relax by the stream and listen to the cold, clear water flowing over the rocky stream bed. And speaking of stream, there’s trout in that water.

Our campsite location in the mountains means there’s no cell service here, but we do have free wifi and cable TV throughout the park. Sorry, RVs only -- no tent sites. Pets are welcome, but we do expect you to be responsible owners. Come visit us today to enjoy the prettiest little park this side of heaven.

Beautiful campground and our campsite backed-up to a majestic stream. Our biggest complaint is neither my wife or I could get cell phone service. I have Verizon and she has Sprint. Occasionally have to take a call from work. We had to ride our motorcycle about 7 miles up of curvy 2-lane road to the top of the mountain, (great ride) to just barely get rewarded a weak signal. After grilling each meal there for a full week, the owner approached me and made a big deal about our table-top grill. I had been careful all week and took great measures not to damage or burn their very nice picnic table. Never-the-less he made an issue of it the last day of our stay there and attempted to humiliate me in front of our neighbors. I manage $25M of property on a daily basis. I seriously doubt I'm going to damage a $300 picnic table. If he was that concerned he should have said something after the first day I set the grill up. I don't think this Harley rider will be coming back. BTW, we left the picnic table and the campsite as we found it, in pristine condition.

Researched online a place to stay close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and came across Mountain Stream RV. What a great choice. We wanted a family owned park not a commercial park and that's what we found. A lot of love and care has gone into creating this park. The landscaping is beautiful, the dog park is a great idea, the stream sounds heavenly, and the fellows campers at the park were friendly and courteous. The majority of the campers we talked to were either referred by a friend or had stayed there previously. The location is only a few minutes from the BR Parkway and is centrally located so we checked out all of the sights to the South one day and to the North the next. It's also close to major highways so you can travel the Parkway then exit off and travel a four-lane highway back to your campsite. We had planned to stay for three nights and ended up staying for six. Our first few nights our site was by the stream with a deck. Our final nights we needed to move to a non-stream site. No complaints. All the sites are nice. You won't go wrong booking a reservation here. I commend Ron and Becky for a fantastic place to stay. The next time we are in the area we will be making a reservation.

Really Clean Well Kept Park. Stayed a week. Internet and Cable service worked great. Lots to do in the area. Check out the trout lake just up the road. 5 year old grandson had a ball! No Cell service only complaint I had, that's out of the owners hands and they make that clear going in. Ron I do love your truck! Bobby

This place is awesome! We were in a bind and needed a late night stop off. The owners actually answered the phone past 7 pm and got us a prime spot. Upon our arrival Ron noticed our propane was leaking and if he hadn't, it could have been really bad. We are two women traveling in a RV for the first time so this was very helpful. He even got us hooked up with a nearby repair shop! The sites are gorgeous! Most of them are positioned right next to a mountain stream. The staff and campground were both exceptional. I will be returning soon!

Wow, we took the advice from another truck camper and went to Mountain Stream RV...booked on line, no problems, understood refund and cancelation instructions...very clear. It rained the entire week prior to our reservations and was raining the day we left...we were actually going to cancel...We are so glad we did not. The pictures on the web site does not do the park justice. Ron and Becky have worked tirelessly to make this the perfect spot. Manicured sites, lush forest all around, a beautiful stream right out your door. We were so shocked by the beauty of this place...the care they took to create it. We pulled in and Ron was there in the office with a smile on his face...I think he thought I was nuts because I, we, my wife and I, were in such awe...the check in was simple and quick, and the site was just across from the fresh and clean shower/bath house. We were quite satisfied with our site but then again they were all gorgeous. Some had decks out over the stream, some had little terraces built with picnic tables and fire pit on top, shade trees all around and even a dog park our German shepherd would have loved. We were twenty minutes from at least three golf courses and so much more. This is a hidden gem and is well worth the time to get off the interstate and drive the 14 miles...you won't be disappointed. Thank you Ron and Becky...we will see you later! Oh...one more thing...you are going up towards Mount Mitchell, the road is curvy, but with the fifth wheels and motorhomes already there...it is not a problem. The drive is worth it.
