An absolutely incredible place. Breathtaking beauty and wildlife. I have incredible memories of here as a child and young adult. Amazing park, a great place to go camping. I love the cabins as well. French Creek will always be a second home to me. The lake is gorgeous and serene, the pool is a lot of fun, and nothing beats the vast woods and winding trails. A place of peace and serenity.

There is an extensive trail system here often busy with runners and mountain bikers alike. Disc golf seems to be a popular sport here as well. There are pavilions for sheltered picnics, at least two lakes for kayaking and possibly fishing and a nice pool for those that would rather sun bathe and swim.

My friends and I went camping there and found it a very nice place to go for family camping. There are a series of "loops" for different types of camping and different capacities of people. Reservations are required so in the warmer seasons book early especially if you want adjoining spots. There are lots of hiking trails and a couple fishing lakes too. If there was a downside it was the bathrooms. They were a mess.

A special thanks to Park Officer Krista L. For going above and beyond! My three girlfriends and I decided to try French Creek for girls long weekend. We knew nothing about Specific sites, so took what the website assigned. Upon arrival, we discovered that our picnic table was quite far, down a steep rocky path from the where we would be parking the RV. We are all over age 60, and have some physical limitations. Lucky for us, Park Officer Krista L. happened to go by on patrol. We asked her if we could possibly change sites. She pleasantly responded she would check and see what sites may still be open. She was back in a few minutes with a map which showed still Unreserved sites. We took a quick car tour and selected a site much more suitable for us. We called the office, per Krista's instructions, to indicate our new Site number. A pleasant fellow named Josh said it was fine. We had a Wonderful girls weekend!!. We were all so appreciative of the special care and kindness shown to us. We can't wait to come again and book our "favorite" site. Krista, You Rock! 👍🏻

Excellent trails. The scenery at french creek is great, it is one of my favorite places to hike in Pennsylvania.
