The main attraction of the park is the Delaware Canal, which at is the only canal that remains fully intact from the towpath canal-building days of the 19th century. The Delaware Canal runs parallel to the Delaware River between Easton and Bristol. The Delaware River is the longest free-flowing river east of the Mississippi River in the United States. It serves as a major migration path for American Shad and waterfowl. A visitor's center is located at New Hope and the park management office is located in Upper Black Eddy. Within the park are two designated natural areas: Nockamixon Cliffs and River Islands. Recreational opportunities include hiking, biking and cross-country skiing along the towpath, fishing in the canal and river, and canal boat rides.

This is first time I have contributed to Google. I don't know how to edit this but this is not the location I was visiting. Although close to the Delaware Canal, this is actually Martin's Creek and I am not in a state park but rather a township park (Falls Park). If someone from Google could fix this I'd feel better about contributing in the future. Thanks you.

This is a wonderful park. It is easy accessed from Washington Crossing Park, Yardley, and New Hope. The tow path is well maintained with a gravel base. Good for biking, running, walking, and kayaking on the canal.

This park runs for many miles along the Delware River and canal. Tree cannopied Routes 32 and 611 connect different locations where you can do a variety of things, from camping to fishing. Their are picnic tables and grills at some places and boat launches at others. Their is even a large man made pond where you can kayak, canoe, or boat and can use a low power electric motor (no gas powered engines allowed).
