Use caution and check all prices online before you purchase anything. Their supposed going out of business sale involves jacking the prices up to msrp then giving you the "20-30% off sale" price. Gander Mountain has always been way overpriced its not to shocking they are going out of business. Good riddance gander mountain. Go across the interstate to Fleet Farm they have competitive prices.

They didn't change their website, or information on Google. I wasted an hour and a half driving to the Gander Mountain Academy Range to do some shooting, and didn't find out until I walked in, to the range that it's closed until late August. Hopefully under new management they will retain their online presence better. Very upsetting.

The store is a normal Gander Mountain, but the Academy took a beautiful facility and made it horrible. I've visited a number of times since it opened, and it has been a worse experience each visit. The staff hates you. You are not good enough because you don't wear your gun on your hip. Reservations are required - not having a reservation is your fault. The online reservation system has been taken away, so you must call. You call the number on the academy site, then choose the local store, and at the end, the staff may not answer because they're too busy. They will tell you they were too busy after they tell you you need to have a reservation. Their being too busy is your fault. The simulators are currently barely functional - guns don't work, a screen may fail during your session, and the staff doesn't like being bothered to refill or provide CO2. These used to be a good time - now they're not worth the money. I want to help them. These folks in the Academy are too busy - so they can be a lot less busy without the pesky customers.

I love this store. I buy all my guns from them. The people are so friendly. This was my 1st time going to the gun range and manager Dan went out his way to help me and my mom. I will definitely be going back!

Store is closing soon so everything is on clearance. Prices are normally a bit high, but reasonable marked down 20 to 50 percent. Reasonably good selection remaining in early June 2017.
