Gateaux makes a beautiful cake. I ordered a 10 inch Red Velvet with cream cheese frosting and fondant exterior. The cake was beautiful! The cream cheese icing inside was delicious. The only issue I had and that of my guests was… the cake was very, very, dry and tasted like it lacked one or more ingredients. It wasn’t sweet, moist nor did it have that slight cocoa taste. My husband has been eating Red Velvet Cake for the past few decades so he knows a good red velvet. Not sure what happened to the actual cake but presentation, filling and design were awesome. Note: All directions for cake storage were followed per business’ recommendations. Only wish it tasted great. John Walker’s 60th birthday was wonderful but many quests were wondering about the taste and texture of the cake. No one could finish their piece of cake though they said it was designed well. Disappointed for my husband and guests.

My favorite sweet bakery in Denver. I’ve ordered a wedding cake, baby shower, and birthday cake from here. All cakes exceed my expectations. They are beautiful and delicious. I’ve also tried most of the small treats and prefer some to others but luckily they are small enough I can always grab a few to try and at least one is perfect for me. All of the staff I’ve ever interacted with have been nice. You do need to give notice I think 1 week for a custom order but in a pinch they have several cakes available for same day pickup.  I’ll add that I think the pricing is incredibly reasonable. An 8 inch custom cake with custom design for a recent baby shower was $85. The 8 inch cake is huge considering how tall their cakes are and easily fed the 18 shower guests.

Beyond amazing service for my sons first birthday! I emailed pictures of cakes and cookies I wanted made and then spoke with an employee over the phone to talk through the order. Not only did they deliver, but everything looked even better than the pictures I found online. Our guests and I were blown away! Everything was delicious. I will certainly be back!

Gateaux Bakery absolutely knocked it out of the park for my son’s Hamilton themed birthday cake. I phoned one week prior and spoke to Danielle, who was simply amazing. We talked about my vision, I sent a few pictures via email and she created a phenomenal cake which was so beautiful we almost didn’t want to cut it!! But we are so glad we did! It was equal parts beauty and deliciousness. The cake was moist and flavorful with the perfect amount of sweetness. Seriously one of the best cakes we have ever eaten. The ladies here are so talented, Gateaux is a true gem.

Gateaux is amazing. We walked from our hotel at 6 am to buy our daughter a birthday cake. It was a $55 funfetti cake. It was Delicious! Every item is crafted masterfully. The eggnog cheesecake was so lovely, thick and creamy. I dreamt of that cheesecake!

I called Gateaux Bakery from Atlanta to help arrange for a cake for a party I was throwing in Denver. They were an absolute dream to work with and produced the most beautiful and delicious cake! I had previously spoken with another bakery whose staff was very rude and unhelpful. It was such a wonderful experience to deal with the staff at Gateaux Bakery and I was incredibly pleased with the final results.

When my husband and I starting making wedding plans I saw a cake online that was exactly what I wanted. It was a gorgeous 4 tier cake with a beautiful depiction of the Blue Ridge Mountains that we call home. I searched for months trying to find the artist behind the cake and finally found Lindsey. She was not only professional and communicative, but kind and easy to talk to. She truly has a passion and talent for what she does.  We got a three tier lemon blueberry cake that was so delicious my mouth is watering as I type this review. Our guests were so impressed with the flavor and design. I am so thankful for Lindsey in making this process so easy!

The best cake I’ve had in my entire life. Michelle and team did an amazing job on a three tier wedding cake with each layer a different flavor for ~50 guests. The taste of the cake melted in my mouth not too sweet and the buttercream frosting was great!, and the details were so intricately done. This vendor was a joy to work with over the pandemic as our event moved several times eventually turning into a vow renewal as we eloped during 2020. The delivery and presentation  of our cake so so well done. For the best cakes and custom desserts ever - go here!

I have been enjoying the treats at this place for years. Not only are they beautiful but they are phenomenally delicious. Because of this experience, we hired these fine folks to make our wedding cake. Oh my gosh was it a hit!!! It was everything I've enjoyed about this place piled into one delicious cake, celebrating one of the best days of my life. Your search is over!

I have used this bakery for large orders and small. Everything has been done with utmost attention to detail. The staff is friendly and patient if you are struggling to make decisions. My favorite thing is the apricot croissant but you can't go wrong with any of the choices. I ordered customized cookie for an event and they came out perfect. They even added some sparkle to my design request which set it apart. Very impressed and will come back often. There's always been plenty of parking out front too, which is rare downtown Denver.
